Pres. J. R. Middleton read a ;etter received from Att'y Mitchell,a:copy
of which was sent to Mr~Thos.J.Eahey of Baker Co. of New York. ,~Amd a dupli-
cate copy sent to Mr. W. L. Baynard of Baynard Bros. of St. Petersburg;
and thereupon offered the following motion.___Councilman R. G. Hardee tak-
ing the chai~...:-
Moved that the City of Sebastian send a check at once to
The Guaranty Trust Company of New York to the amount of $2612.50,for pay-
ments due on interest on Sebastian bonds,and.for that payment only.
On a second by Councilman archie Smit~ ~he motion was carried unanimous-
ly.
Mayor E., ~',W. Vickers recommended that the Chair appoint a committee to,
investigate lands held by the ~ityoof Sebastian~,~iw~th a view to getting
such lands on the market as soon ~s possible. No action was taken.
Councilman R. G. Hardee moved that the Chair appoint someo~et~o secure
~ss.istanee for the clerk in order to get delinquent properties listed
for an early tax sale. The Chair appointed the clerk to secure an
assistant as soon as possible,.
In reply to a letter from Mr. O. /F. Payne writing in the interest of
the H. D. Ruffner est.~te , offering a portion of the property,:on La. Ave.
~o the City for a connection with Main St. if the city would or ass~e
delinquent taxes ,to the amount of $ 82.50. the clerk was instructed
to in form him that the city was not at present in financial Condition
to assume such an undertaking.

Mayor E. W. Vickers proposed that Lots one to five , bloc~two,in School
Park S/ D assessed for $480, be premented to the Trustees of the Methodist
Church for the erection of a new church, ,the church to assume the delinquent
taxes. After considerable discussion..the Chair proposed getting the opin-
ion of the citizens of Sebastian before the next Council meeting when the
matter might again be brought up.
