The minutes of the regular meetin~ of ~,~ay 26 were read and approved.
The ~ayor reported that the F. E. C. Railway Comi~ny had removed the North
end of the express platform forty feet South of the center of Nafn Street and that
their representative agreed to reconm~end to plank the crossing a width of thirty
feet, it now being twenty feet. He also agreed to recon~aend that the passenger
platform be removed, leaving thirty feet between the North and, South platforms
on the West side.
The Committee appointed to get affadavits regarding the ~-~in otreet crossing
asked for further time and will report at next regular meeting.
~{0TION: made by Councilman Hardee, seconded by Councilman Park, that as a question
has arisen on several occas~ions as to the exact wordin~ of the minutes as
copied in the minute book, t~t immediately after the reading by the Clerk
and approval of the Council of the minutes of preceeding meetings that the
Chairman presiding at tA~e meeting and 'the Clerk be required to sign same
in order to avoid further controversy.

The ~,~yor was requested to write a letter to tho Vice President of the
F. E. C. R~ilway Company callin~ his attention to their failure of the request
to improve the passenger platform at the ~,~ain Street crossing of the railroad;
also contending v,~e have a sixty foot street.
Councilman Park moved that Clerk be instructed to issue check p~yable to
Rick Insurance f~gency for $33.30 in payment of Insurance on the City Hall
and jail for one year, ~¥hich was seconded by Councilm~_ Hardee.

Councilman Hardee moved that meeting 'time of the Counci, 1 be chani~ed to 8:00
o'clock p.m., instead of 7:30 p.m., during thc summer months, seconded by
Councilman Park.

The Clerk was instructed to write ~'Ir. E. E. Callov,~ay of Lakeland that tho
City Council would be very glad to have him here at his convenience to explain
his proposition r~,~garding bonds.
Continuation of regular meeting June 9, 1930.
The attorney was instructed to prepare an ordinance providing for the
revision of the registration books.
Councilman Park reported a wash out at the corner of Dixie Highway and
Washington Place. Councilman Hardee moved it be repaired, Seco.~'~dcd by'

The Clerk was requeste~] to see Councilman Vickers regarding the repairs to
bo made on the roof of-the City Hall. Councilman Hardee moved that roof be
repaired as soon as possible; which was seconded by Councilman Park.
