Those Present Mayor Boone and Councilmen Channell,Leonardy,Dicristafaro,Stevenson and Witt. Invocation was given by Rev Durham of the Sebastian Baptist Church. Minutes of the regular meeting of May 14,1962 were read and approved. Motion made by Councilman Leonardy to approve payment of bills for May in the amou~ of $~544.91 seconded by Councilman Dicristafaro,Carried. Attorney Vocell~ reported on closing of grade crossings in the County by FEC RE. Council authorized Attorney Vocelle to join the County in legal action to h~ve grade crossings reopened. Notion made by Councilman Leonardy to approve the rules of procedure for the zoning Commission,.~econded by Councilman Dicristafaro. Carried. JMayor a~d.Gity Clerk instructed to write letter to the State Highway requesting that "Speed limits of 45 miles per hour from City Limit to Glory Limit, be authorized. Council approved transferring $7,500.00 from the checking account to Savings account(Sinking Fund) Notion made?by Councilman Stevenson to accept resignation of Mr E W Vicker as A member of ~he Board of Adjustment,Seconded by Councilman Leonardy,Carried.  ion made by Councilman Witt ,to appoint Mr Lloyd Harrison A Member of the Board Adjustment, seconded by Councilman Leonardy, Carried. ~n Ordinance was introduced entitled: .'An ordinance'to secure and protect the general health and welfare of the residents of Sebastian,Florida,and to prevent and remove nuisances; to~equire owners or their '~ agents to keep their premises, lots, tracts or parcels of land free and clear of weeds,brush, wild grass, undergrowth, garbage or other refuse, and providing penalties for failure to do so. ~ouncilman Leonardy moved that Ordinance be read first time in full,seconded by ~ouncilman Witt,~Carried Ordinance was read and voting was as follows AYES- Council President Channell · ~ Councilman Leonardy Councilman Dicristafaro · ~ouncilman Stevenson Councilman ~itt Nayes- NONE Olerk instructed to post Ordinance in the City Hall after first reading and at least five(5) days prior to second reading. Clerk instructed to prepare Roster of Dog Owners who have not purchased Licenses in case Council decides to issue warning letters or warrants. ~Motion made by Councilman Leonardy to authorize the Mayor to purchase flowers in ~the name of the City of Sebastian,when Mayor deems it appropriate,Seconded by ,Councilman Dicristafaro, Carried. Councilman Leonardy moved that "Rules of Procedure" be withdrawn from Table, Seconded by Councilman Dicristafaro, Carried. "~Cit~ Clerk instructed to write letter to real estate officer requesting information pertaining to requirements for new Post Office Site. Councilman Leonardy appointed Chairman of Committee to ivestigate into, and report to City Council,feasibility of Garbage and Trash collection Charge, and twice A week pickup. "~'~Motion made by Councilman Leonardy that OTTO JORDAN, be refunded over payment of his 1961 tax. Seconded by Councilman Witt. Carried. Motion made by Councilman Dicristafaro, that City Clerk be authorized to accept sealed Bids, for the rental of Police car for the next two(2) year period starting in November 1962.Contract to read the same as present. Seconded by Councilman Leonardy. Carried. Councilman Stevenson Moved to Adjourn. Seconded by Councilman ~itt. Carried.
