MOTION BY £OUNCJLMAN HOOSE, SECONDED BY VICE MAYOR GRAY, TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION
ORDINANCE FOR THE ESTES PROPERTY INTO THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN.

MOTION BY VICE MAYOR GRAY, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN GASS, TO TABLE THE REQUEST OF THE HANDY
HANDLES CB'ERS TO CONDUCT THEIR MONTHLY MEETING AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER IN VIEW OF
COUNCILMAN HOOSE'S COMMENT THAT THEY HAD ALSO CONTACTED THE FiRE DEPARTMENT AND HAD BEEN
OFFERED THE USE OF THAT BUILDING FOR $5.00 EACH MEETING. CARRIED.
MOTION BY COUNCILMAN JOACHIM, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN HOOSE TO ADVISE MR. ROBERT FLOOD THAT
THE CITY HAD NO OBJECTION TO HIS BUILDING A SEAWALL ON HIS PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE
MIDDLETON SUBDIVISION. CARRIED.
AFTER DISCUSSION AS TO WHETHER OR NOT THE CITY WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRS ON FOSTER
ROAD LEADING INTO THE THORNTON PROPERTY (WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE COUNTY) IT WAS AGREED
THAT MAYOR CRAGG WOULD CONTACT MR. JACK JENNINGS, COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR, FOR ASSISTANCE IN
PROCURING SOME MARL INASMUCH AS THE ROAD WAS NOT WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS. IF THE COUNTY WILL
SUPPLY THE MARL, MAYOR CRAGG AGREED THAT THE STREET DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES WOULD PUT IT iN
PLACE.

VICE MAYOR GRAY SUGGESTED DRAINAGE REQUIREMENTS BE CAREFULLY SCRUTINIZED BEFORE ANNEXING
ANY FUTURE PROPERTY INTO THE CITY. THE CITY ATTORNEY AND MAYOR CRAGG AGREED.
MR. KROEGEL ADDED THAT THE BOY SCOUTS WiLL SET UP A BOOTH FOR COLD DRINKS AND HOT DOGS AND
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WILL ASSIST IN LINING UP THE PARADE WITH THEIR WALKIE TALKIES.

THE BUILDING INSPECTOR REPORTED PERMITS WERE ISSUED IN MAY FOR SEVEN NEW RESIDENCES FOR A
TOTAL VALUE OF $201,000. TOTAL NEW CONSTRUCTION FOR THE MONTH AMOUNTED TO $216,825.00.
THE CITY CLERK READ A LETTER FROM THE SEBASTIAN RIVER MEDICAL CENTER AUXILIARY REGARDING
THE FORTHCOMING BLOOD DONOR PROGRAM. BLOOD IS TO BE DONATED ON JUNE 23 AT THE MEDICAL
CENTER AND IF ANYONE IS UNABLE TO DO IT ON THAT DATE, THEY MAY GO TO THE BREVARD HOSPITAL
BLOOD BANK IN MELBOURNE ANYTIME, SPECIFYING THAT IT IS TO BE CREDITED TO THE SEBASTIAN
RIVER MEDICAL CENTER'S ACCOUNT.
NOTICE HAS BEEN RECEIVED FROM THE LEUKEMIA SOCIETY OF AMERICA, INC., THAT THEY WILL CONDUCT
THEIR FALL RESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 9 AND SEPTEMBER 30, 1977. MAYOR CRAGG

THE CITY CLERK TEN DAYS PRIOR TO SAID FIRST TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH.
AT A RECENT MEETING, THE FINANCE COMMITTEE APPROVED THE REQUEST FOR AN ADDITIONAL $2,000
CONTRIBUTION TO HELP DEFRAY THE COST OF A NEW TANKER TRUCK FOR THE SEBASTIAN VOLUNTEER
FIRE DEPARTMENT.
MOTION BY VICE MAYOR GRAY, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN JOACHIM, TO TRANSFER $2,000 FROM THE
BUILDING DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IN PAYING FOR THE NEW 1800
GALLON TANK TRUCK. CARRIED.
MR. VOCELLE WAS AUTHORIZED TO PREPARE A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING THE ABOVE FUNDS IN THE
