HomeMy WebLinkAbout06221977SPECIAL MEETING-JUNE 22, 1977 MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY MAYOR CRAGG AT 7 P.M. PRESENT: VICE MAYOR GRAY, COUNCILMEN CLIFFORD HOOSE, EVERETT GASS AND MAYOR CRAGG. THE CiTY CLERK ANNOUNCED NO BIDS HAD BEEN RECEIVED IN RESPONSE TO THIS SECOND ADVERTISED BID TO CONSTRUCT A BOAT RAMP AND RIPRAP THE SHORE LINE AT MAIN STREET DOCK. MURPHY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY SUBMITTED A BID FOR $24,575.00 WHEN THE PROPOSAL WAS FIRST ADVERTISED. HOWEVER, THE BID WAS REJECTED AS THE COUNCIL FELT IT WAS TOO HIGH. IT WAS BROUGHT TO THE COUNCIL'S ATTENTION THAT MERIT CONSTRUCTION COMPANY WAS INTERESTED IN SUBMITTING A BID. MAYOR CRAGG WILL CONTACT THE CITY ENGINEER TO DETERMINE WHAT ACTION TO TAKE.
