Those present were Mayor Rohme, Councilmen Finnegan, Nash, Brehmer~ Council Baxter was absent. Second by Councilman Brehmer and carried. After much discussion said ordinance was tabled for the following provisions: 1. Permit required for moving or demolishing of any building. 2. Adopting the Southern Standard Building Code,as amended, by the City of Seba~tian. 3. No ~e~it required for the remodeling of any building without an increase in floor space. ~. A blue print of floor plans must be submitted with the application for building permit. City clerk read a letter from Goodbody & Co. in reference to the City bidding on _~.2-~ bonds that come due in the years 197g,1977,1978,1979. . Councilman Finnegan recommended that the City Council, of the City of Sebastian, notify Goodbody & Co. that the City recently purchased some of these bonds at 78 cents on the dollar, and if their client wishes to submit a firm offer to sell, the city will certainly obtain an immediate answer from the Council. The Council ! agreed as a whole with Councilman Finnegan s recommendation, with the exception that in this letter the clerk notify Goodbody and Co. that the City in more interested in bidding on the 2~. callable bonds. Building inspector was instructed by the Counc-~il to make an inspection on the Ruffner building which is situated immediatelylmorth of 2nd street, between U.S. #1 and the FECRy, and also to give a report at the next regular meeting of the Council. Clerk was instructed to have attorney Vocelle draw up the following ordinances: 1..An ordinance creating the office of building inspector and setting forth the the provisions of his duties. 2. An ordinance creating the position of municipal judge and describing his powers and duties. Mayor Rohme reported to the Council that he had employed Douglas Savage as an extra policeman at a salary of 1.25 per hour. Councilman Bre}mer reported that six additional street lights have been installed in Sebastian Highlands. Councilman Brehmer made a motion to adjourn, second by Councilman Nash and carried.
