REGI/DAR MEETING
July 9, 1962
Meeting called to order by Co~ucil President Channell at 7 P. M.
Those present, Mayor Boone, Councilmen Channell, Leon~dy, DeCristofaro,
Witt, and Stevenson.
Minutes of the regular meeting of June 11, 1962, were read and
approved.
Motion made by Councilman DeCristofaro to pay June Bills in the
amount of $3637.34, as listed in the bills pa~able book. Seconded
by Councilman Stevenson. Carried.
Motion made by Councilman Witt to read an Ordinance entitled
"An Ordinance to secure and protect the general health and Welfare
of the Residents of Sebastian, FLORIDA, AND TO PREVENT AND REMOVE
NUISANCES; TO REQUIRE O~ERS OR THEIR AGE?.~'TS TO KEEP T~EIR PREM-
ISES, LOTS, TRACTS OR PARCELS OF LAND FREE AND CLEAR OF WEEDS,
BRUSH, WILD GRASS, UNDERGR0~H, GARVAGE OR OTHER REFUSE, AI'~D UPON
THEIR FAILURE TO DO SO AFTER NOTICE, THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN MAY
REMOVE AND CLEAR STTC~{ PROPERTY, OR HAVE THE SAME PERFORM.ED, AND
MAKE T~E COST THEREOF A LIE~ ON SUCH PROPERTY; TO PROVIDE THE
METHOD OF iMPOSING SUCH LIEN AND TO PROVIDE THE ENFORCEMENT
THEREOF; TO PROVIDE FOR COMPLAINTS OF SUCH REMEDY; TO PROVIDE PENALTIES
FOR THE VIOLATIONS OF CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF T~?IS ORDINANCE; TO

Motion made by Councilmsn Witt to read said Ordinance a third time
by title only and placed upon its final passage. Seconded by
Councilman Leonardy. Carried.

A public hearing w~s held on the 1962 - 63 Fiscal Budget.
Mr. Charles Zimmer was appointed Director of Civil Defense for
City of Sebastian.
Mrs. William T. Smith was appointed a aommittee of one to be in
charge of Flag Ceremony.
Councilman Witt moved to adjourn.
Carried.
Seconded by Councilman DeCristofaro.
