Meeting called to order by President Taylor.
Those answering roll call were, Mayor 8barfer,President Taylor and Councilman Ellingsen
and Mrs Chesser. Councilman Sembler and Kutch absent. Attorney Walker present.
Minutes of the last regular held on May 9,1955 were approved as read.
Bills amounting to $ 861.14 were authorized to be paid on motion by Councilman Ellingsen
which was seconded by Mrs Chesser. carried.
Mayor Shaffer read a report of the Police Department for the first six months of 1954-55
and compared it With report for the same time of 1953-54 which showed a loss in 1954-55 com-
pared with the report of the one in 1953-54 and asked for comments.There being no comments
other than the expense being too high for the revenue involved.
There being no Tax Payers present to raise objections on the 1955 Tax Roll the board
approved the Tax Roll for 1955 and also approved Budget for 1955 which will be the same as
set up for the year of 1954.
The question arose as to the sick day allowance for the Empolyes of the City and after
some discussion it waw moved by Councilman Ellingsen and seconded by Mrs:...Ohesser that the
Emptoyes be allowed four days sick leave for the yea~.Auy other, time of~ for sickness would
be deducted from their paye
President Taylor appointed Councilman Ellingsen and Councilman Semble~ as a committee
to work on the plans and be a~le to check with the County Commissioners for a new City
~11 and be ready as soon as it is known that the Highway will be built according to the

There being no more business to come before the Council meeting was adjourned.

Those present were Mayor Sha£fer, President Taylor, Councilmen Ellingsen, Sembler,
Kutch,
Minutes of the last regular meeting held on July 11, 1955 were approved as read.
Bills in the amount of $507.16 were ordered paid on motion by'Councilman Ellingsen
and secondedby Qouncllman Sembler. ca~'ried.
Building permit was granted to Leon Gardner for dwelling 'on lot 18 Block 1 u. S. Hlghwal
President Taylor appointed Councilman Sembler to act as President pro tem..and
Councilman' Kutch to servic~ on finance committee.
There beeing no other buisness to act on, mmeeting was adjourned . ~
