CitF Tax Assessor F. G. Hamrick, presented tax assessment roll for the City of
Sebastian, Florida,.for~:the year 1936, and the same w&s filed before the City
Counm.~l sitting as an eeua~ation Board; there, was ~resented and filed a proof
of publication of notice tha~ the CouBcil would sit on July 6, 1936 for the purpose
of hearing complaints relative to and equalizing and correcting the tax assessment
roll, which notice and proof of publication ls. as follows: (see Proof)
The following resolution'was intr.~duCed by Councl~n Vlckers:
Res~%ution
a~ereas, it appears that due and-legal notice that the City Council of the City
of Sebastian, Florida, would meet on the 6 ~y of July 1936, for the purpose of
equalizing and correcting the tax assessment ~11 of said City for the year 1936,
has been given, and whereas , the City Council did meet at said time for said
purpose, and did thereupon duly adjourn said meeting for said purpose to 8 o'clock
p.m. July 1~, 1936 ~omnda.~.d~h:~empon meet at 8 o'clock p.m. July 13, 1936 for
said purpose and did thereupon adjourn to meet for said purpode at the hour of
o'clock p.~. July 20. 1936, and whereas the City Co~cll, pursuant to such
adJour~en~s did mee~ at 8 o'clock July 20, 1936 and did r&ceive said tax assessment
roll for the year 1936 from the City T,x assessor, and
~ereas, all objection made to said assessment roll have been duly considered, voted
upon by this Oouncll, and said assessment roll, correCted, eeualized and adjusted
fairly and equitably in the Jud~ent of this Council; and the said Council having
not found it necessary to raise the amount of the assessments appearing on said
assessment roll, and
Whereas, .i~ appears to the City Council of the City of Sebastian, Florida, that
said assessment roll i~ now correct and the valuation thereof eeual, correct and
just and that t~.:ere are no further deductions or lncrease~ necessary; therefore be
Resolved, by the City Council of the City of Sebastian, Florida, that the tax
assessment roll for said,.~lty for the year 1936, as pEepared and presented to this
.Council and by it ecualized and corrected, be, and the same is, hereby approved .

S~i~ resolution was duly second~d by Council~n Baugh~n and up on being put to
a vote was adopted as follows: Ayes, Hardee, Vlckers, Baug~n, Mays. Nays: NONE.
Councilman Vlckers moved to reduce beer ~icense 2rom~7.~0 to ~'2.50. Seconded
by Cou$ci~an Baug~n. Carried.
Councilman Vickers introduced an ordinance entitled; An Ordinance to License
certain types of Coin Operated Devices; to Regulate the Operation Thereof; to
~signate the penalties for the violation of the ~rOVisions of this ~rdlnance;
to define types of Coin Operated ~vlces. and moved that it be read for~the first
time in full. Motion seconded by Councilman Baug~n and carried. Ordinance was
read in full whereupon Council~n Baug~n moved it Oe read the .second time by
title only. Motion seconded by Oounci~n ~ys. Carried. Ordinance wa~:~ read by
title whereupon Councilman Baug~an moved it be read the 3rd time by title and
put upon its passage. Motion seconded by Counci~n Yickers. Carried. Ordinance
was read 3rd time by title and upon roll call was adopted as follows: Ayes:
Hardee, Vlekers, Bau~an, M~ys. N~ys: No~e.
Council~n Baug~an moved that the re~lar meeting night be the first ~onday In
each month in lieu of the 2nd. Motion seconded by Council~n Vlckers. Carried.
Councilman Vickers moved that State & County taxes be paid on lots ~,4, 5 & 6
Block 1 hardees S/D "B" All block 2 Hardees $/D "B".and blocks 6,~ & 13 Edgewater
Park S/D. Seconded by Councll~n Mays. Carried.
