Dear Sirs: I hereby call a special meetinG: of your Honorable Body to meet at Hardee's Filling Station, Thursday July 16th, 1931 at 7:00 o'clock p.m., for the purpose of discussing taxation and the passing of an ordinance providi~ng for the issuance of an interest bearing time warrant for the sum of $579.68. Councilman ~ark moved tl~t Ordinance be read the 2nd time by title only; was seconded by Councilman Hardee and carried by the following vote: ayes: Councilmen l~ark, Hardee, Baughman and I~artin Nays: None. Councilman Hardee moved thmt 0rdi~-~nce be read tho 3rd time by title only and put upon its passage, which was seconded b~" COuncilman ~ark and carried byt the following vote: Ayes: CounciLmen Hardee, Park, Baughman and Martin. A letter from Messrs Fl~ming & Snow representing the bondholders of the City of Sebastian Street and Sidewalk bonds was read with reference to the i~ossibility of including the 1930 unpaid taxes In those taxes which could be settled by the · ..use of interest coupons and bonds; also stating that the demand ~ade by them ~(',. for the levy and collections of a 'tax ~nd the enforce~aent of outstanding ta~_~s and paving liens for the purpose of securing .money to pay 'the bond debt was not made earnestly, provided the paxpayors show their willingness to cooperate with them.
