Meeting called to order by President Sweatt.
Those present were Mayor Shaffer,President Sweatt and ~ouncilmen Ellingsen,Nash
Taylor.
Minutes ef the last meeting of Jul~ 15,th werevapproved as read.
Bills amounting te $138.$4 apreved by the finance committee were authorized to be
paid en motion by oouncilman Hash and secended by Uouncilman Ellingsen.
Building permit application approved on motion by Councilman Elllngsen and seconded
by Councilman T~ylor carried.
oouncilman Sweatt ohairman of the Fire Department reported that the Fire Departmant
had purchased an International truck chassis te be fitted with a water tank and te be
turned over te City.After some discussion it was agreed to table said offer until the
next meeting when they ka~ld have a full oouncil.
There being no more business meeting was duly adjourned.

Bills in the amount of $320.05 ordered paid;on motion by,.Ceuncilman Nash and seconded
by oeuncilman '£ayler.
0ouncilman Taylor was asked to ~.nvestigate the procurement of sand for the possible
resurfacing ef Louisiana Ave.
mayor Shaffer r~perted ~he activies of the Police 0opt. for July,and recommended
that time and eno half.~or over time now being paid to the ~hief of ~ollce be discontinued
-i~he matter was tabled untill nex~ meeting.
Motion was made by oeuncilman Nash and secended by Councilman Sembler, that letter be
written te ~eard of County oemmissioners strongly objecting te any resolution adopted by
.s~ld Oemmissieners Infringing upon the rights and priviliges::.new enjoyed by the ~ity of
~ebastian, ~'lerida under its present oharter. ~ollcall ~ote on motion resulted as follows
