THE DEPUTY CLERK READ THE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS IT APPEARED IN THE VERO BEACH PRESS JOURNAL,
JULY 18 AND 25, 1983, TO CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 14-2 AND 14-10 OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO THE RENEWAL DATE FOR OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES; STATING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
ATTORNEY KILBRIDE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 14-2 AND 14-10 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES, PERTAINING TO THE RENEWAL DATE FOR OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE; STATING A SEVERABILITY

JULY 8, 1983, TO CONSIDER A REQUEST TO ~N~ THE--~OMPREHENSIVE PLAN/LAND USE MAP FOR THE FOLLOWING
DESCRIBED PROPERTIES:
1. INCORPORATE A COMPREHENSIVE LAND US~ POLICY ~!iAN DESIGNATION OF "INSTITUTIONAL" AND "C-I"
RESTRICTED COMMERCIAL, ZONING POLICY, F~Sfll, #53 AND #54 OF THE TOWN 'OF WAUREGAN S/D.
2. INCORPORATE A "CL", LIMITED COMMERCIAL, COMPREHENSIVE PLAN/LAND USE MAP DESIGNATION AND A
LOtS ~, ~s~ ~o ~S40~
3. INCORPORATE A CHANGE IN THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE POLICY PLAN FROM "COR" COMMERCIAL
OFFICE RESIDENTIAL, TO "CL" LIMITED COMMERCIAL FOR ALL LAND DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: (a) LOTS
#9 AND #10, BLOCK 5, OCEAN BREEZE HEIGHTS S/D; (b) LOTS #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #11, #12, #13
AND #14 OF BLOCK 4, OCEAN BREEZE HEIGHTS S/D; AND (c) THE TRIANGULAR BLOCK OF LAND LOCATED
SOUTH OF 9TH STREET, EAST OF U.S. #1 AND WEST OF NORTH CENTRAL AVENUE.
LES SOLIN, CITY PLANNER, EXPLAINED THAT PART OF THE PLAN WAS NOT INCLUDED ON THE COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN BECAUSE IT WAS RECENTLY ANNEXED INTO THE CITY. ANOTHER PORTION OF THAT IS DESIGNATED AS
"COR" IS CURRENTLY USED FOR LIMITED COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES AND SHOULD MORE APPROPRIATELY BE
DESIGNATED LIMITED COMMERCIAL. HE STATED THAT IT IS HIS RECOMMENDATION TO APPROVE THIS
PROPOSAL AS ADVERTISED.
VERONICA AUTREY, REPRESENTATIVE, GENERAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, STATED THAT GENERAL
DEVELOPMENT DOES OWN PROPERTY SURROUNDING THIS CHANGE AND WANTS IT TO BE KNOWN THAT THEY H$VE
NO OBJECTIONS BUT IN THE FUTURE THEY ASK THAT THIS BE MONITORED.
ATTORNEY KILBRIDE IN ANSWER TO RENE VAN DE VOORDE'S QUESTION, STATED THE PROPERTY IS FROM THE
OLD CITY CIMITS, THE CEMETERY LAND ON THE WEST SIDE, NORTH TO THE ST. WILLIAMS CHURCH, INCLUDING
ST. WILLIAMS.

TRIANGULAR PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED SOUTH OF 9TH STREET, EAST OF U.S. HIGHWAY #1, AND WEST OF NORTH
CENTRAL AVENUE.
CLARENCE RICH, 652 WIMBROW DRIVE, SEBASTIAN, FLA., INDICATED THAT HE OWNS LOTS 4 & 5, BLOCK 5,
OCEAN BREEZE HEIGHTS AND THAT HE WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS ZONING BE GENERAL COMMERCIAL.
MR. LES SOLIN, CITY PLANNER, EXPLAINED THAT THE INTENT WAS TO ONLY ASSIGN COMMERCIAL DESIGNATION
TO PROPERTY TWO LOTS DEEP ON U.S. #1 AND THAT WE ALLOW FOR LIMITED COMMERCIAL SCALE DEVELOPMENT
IN THE AREA UNDER CONSIDERATION TONIGHT.
MAYOR FLOOD STATED THAT THIS REQUEST WOULD BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION AND ADVERTISED AT A LATER
DATE.
