PALMER MAYOR GALLAGHER ATTORNEY PALMER STATED THAT THE CITY HAD RECEIVED A NUMBER OF BIDS FOR THE GROUP INSURANCE FOR CITY EMPLOYEES AND OPENED AND READ THEM AS FOLLOWS: 1. PALMER MAYOR JIM GALLAGHER ATTORNEY PALMER STATED THAT THE CITY HAD RECEIVED TWO BIDS FOR THE RIDING MOWER TO BE USED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AND OPENED AND READ THE BIDS AS FOLLOWS: 1. SUNRISE FORD AND TRACTOR OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS $6,717.00 2. BERRGREN EQUIPMENT OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS $6,124.00 GOVERNMENT DISCOUNT MAYOR GALLAGHER REQUESTED THAT THE BIDS BE SUBMITTED TO THE FINANCE DIRECTOR AND THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR AND THAT THEY'"BRING'BACK A RECOMMENDATION TO THE COUNCIL DURING THEIR MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 12, 1984. MAYOR GALLAGHER CLOSED THE BID OPENING AT 7:19 P.M. MAYOR GALLAGHER CALLED THE PUBLIC HEARING TO ORDER AT 7:20 P.M. AL PELTIER, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR MR. DANIEL BLAIR, BUILDING OFFICIAL MRS. CAROL CARSWELL, FINANCE DIRECTOR MR. ZENON RAWLEY, GOLF COURSE MANAGER MR. NEWTON KRAGES, SUPERINTENDENT AT GOLF COURSE MRS. ELIZABETH REID, DEPUTY CITY CLERK MRS. DEBORAH C. KRAGES, CITY CLERK MAYOR GALLAGHER STATED THAT THE PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS FOR THE PUBLIC INPUT ON THE PROPOSED TENTATIVE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR OF 1984-1985 AND PROCEEDED TO EXPLAIN THE CONTENT OF THE BUDGET AND THE LEVY OF AD VALOREM TAXES IN THE AMOUNT OF 4.9972 MILS. MAYOR GALLAGHER REQUESTED INPUT FROM THE PUBLIC A NUMBER OF TIMES AND THERE BEING NO COMMENT FROM THE PUBLIC OR THE COUNCIL THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS ADJOURNED AT 7:25 P.M. DEBORAH C.
