JOACHIM, LEWIS GRAY AND CLIFFORD HOOSE, MAYOR CRAGG AND MR. L. B. VOCELLE. MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETINGS OF JULY 13, 19, 28 AND AUGUST 4 AND REGULAR MEETING OF JULY 12, 1976 WERE APPROVED. MOTION BY COUNCILMAN JOACHIM, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN HOOSE, TO PAY JULY BILLS AMOUNTING TO $6,615.08. CARRIED. IN RESPONSE TO A QUESTION FROM THE FLOOR BY PAT FLOOD, MAYOR CRAGG REPLIED THE STANDARDS USED TO BUILD ROADS ARE COVERED IN THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE. MR. HAROLD SPAULDING, SCOUT MASTER OF TROOP 598 IN WABASSO AND TWO BOYSCOUTS, DENNIS HALL AND ALLEN SULEWSKI, WERE iNTRODUCED. MAYOR CRAGG EXPLAINED THE SCOUTS ARE WORKING ON A COMMUNICATIONS MERIT BADGE AND WERE PRESENT TO OBSERVE THE MEETING. COUNCILMAN JOACHIM REPORTED THE CHANGE-OVER OF LIGHT BULBS ON LOUISIANA AVE. AND MAIN STREET HAS BEEN COMPLETED. NEXT ON THE LiST WILL BE THE INDIAN RIVER DRIVE SECTION. COUNCILMAN GRAY ANNOUNCED THE OPENING OF THE TWO TENNIS COURTS ON SCHUMANN DRIVE TODAY. POSTED HOURS OF PLAY WILL BE FROM 8 A.M. TO 10 P.M. DAILY. MR. ARTHUR MAYER WAS INTRODUCED AS THE NEW BUILDING INSPECTOR. HE REPORTED A TOTAL OF $103,000 IN NEW CONSTRUCTION DURING JULY. CHIEF CUMMINS OUTLINED 159 COMPLAINTS AN_~WERED DURING JULY, NOT INCLUDING TRAFFIC STOPS. THE VARIANCE REQUEST TO BUILD A HOUSE 011 PROPERTY OWNED B~J~HN MASLANEY IN AN AREA ZONED R-1-M. MAYOR CRAGG REPORTED THE AWARDS COMMITTEE HA~OM~D: (1) PURCHASE OF TWO NEW POLICE CARS FROM SUNSHINE DODGE IN MELBOURNE, AND (2) CHANNEU IIR~D~ING~TD BE AWARDED TO LARSEN BROS. IN HOLLYWOOD, FL. OF CHRIST BUILDING ON MAIN STREET.
