GASS, COUNCILMAN FRANK OBERBECK, COUNCILMAN GEORGE SCHUM, CITY ATTORNEY DANIEL KILBRIDE, MAYOR PAT FLOOD, dR., AND JOSEPH D. LANCASTER, FINANCE DIRECTOR. ABSENT: COUNCILMAN RICHARD VOTAPKA ( EXCUSED ABSENCE - VACATION) THE CITY CLERK READ THE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS IT APPEARED IN THE VERO BEACH PRESS JOURNAL, AUGUST 1, 1982, THAT A DISCUSSION WOULD BE HLED REGARDIN THE AMOUNT OF THE FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS OF $72,190.00 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1982-1983. AFTER SOME DISCUSSION REGARDING THE SUGGESTED EXPENDITURES FOR THE FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING BUDGET, DAN MELIA, CITY RESIDENT RECOMMENDED THAT THE CITY LOOK INTO THE POSSIBILITY OF SETTING SOME MONEY ASIDE FOR A NEW PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM AND THAT $1,000.00 BE SPENT FOR A RADIO THAT IS NEEDED BY THE SEBASTIAN POLICE DEPARTMENT. MAYOR FLOOD EXPLAINED THAT IT IS THE COUNCILS INTENTION TO USE THE OLD SEBASTIAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CAFETERIA AS A PUBLIC MEETING PLACE AND THAT A PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM WOULD BE IMPLEMENTED AT THAT TIME. WITH REGARDS TO THE $55,710.00 BALANCE OF THE FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING BUDGET, IT WAS FELT BY THE FINANCE COMMITTEE THAT MAYBE SOME OF THIS MONEY COULD BE USED TO RENOVATE THESE MINUTES WER~RO, VEU-}DUR~_~T~_~CC~C ~I~ING__(F SEP__.TE~_~ER 8~J
