Councilman Brown introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Re solut i on .Whereas it app?ars from an examination and aevision of the registration books of the said city that the names of the following named p~..rsons should be erased from the registration books of said city,therefore, Be It Resolved by the City Council of the. City of Sebastian,Florida,that the names of the persons hereinafter set forth shall be, and the same are,hereby stricken from the names of the registered voters.of said city for the reasons hereinafter set forth, to-wit: Geo. T. Badger Deceased Louella Foster " Alice ~. Foster " Geo. Welling " Julius Fiedler " M. °imes Mrs. W.C. Braddock Rem&ved W.C. Braddock " W.L. Braddock " ~.P. Baughman " 2.0. Davis " J.S. July 2End,1940 for the purpose of receiving coE. plaint~ witk regards to and of eqUalizing ~nd correcting thelTax Assessment Roll of said City for the year 1940,as presented by the City Tax Assessor, and proof of publication of which notice has been filed in these minutes; and, Whereas, Said City Council did meet at said. time for said purpose and did thereupon adjourn to thIsdate; and, Whereas,All persons desiring to be heard have,~b.~en heard and all. $omplaints and objection~ to said Assessment Roll have~heedi~'duly con$i~ered and acted upon"; and said Assessment Roll has been found~orree~,~.ecual and just in the judgement of this Council; and .~ereas, This Council has not found it necessary to raise the amount of any assessments as made upon said assessment roll; therefore, Be It Resolved That The City Council of the City of Sebastian, Florida, does hereby find and determine that the sai~ assessment roll of said city for the year 19A0, as prepared by the City Tax Assessor, is equal, correct and Just and that the s,~me be and it is hereby approved and confirmed. The motion for tho adoption of the resolution being duly seconded, the same was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Vickers, Brown,~Shaw. Nays: None. Councilman Sh, w introduced the following resol~tion and moved its adoption: Resolution Be it resolved that the~budget of e~penditures and disbursements of the City of Sebastian, Florida, for the fiscal year 1940-1941, be and the same ~x~ is hereby fixe~ as followm: FOR THE GENERAL FLeD OF SAID CITY ( EXPENDITURES ) Street li~hting_- ..................................... $ 360.00 City Clerk and Office Expenses .......................... -$ 600.00 streets, Parks, Alleys,:m~ld Drainage ........ ~1000.00 Rent ................................................ 120.00 Miscellaneous --- ................................. 300~gO Total ................ $~80.00 FO~THE GENERAL FIEND OF SAID CITY (RECEIPTS) 1940 Tax Collections ................................ $1590.00 License Tax Receipts ..................................... 3?0.00 Dellncuent Taxes and Miscellaneous C°llecti°n2-lTotal ........... .......... ~-~420'00 FOR INTEREST AND SIk~NG FUA~ PU~POSES (EXPENDITURES) To pay Interest upon and provide a Sinking Fund for City of Sebastian Refunding Bonds, Issue of 1939 Dated July 1, 1939 ......... $4376.00 FOR INTER~ST AND SINKING FUNBPURPOSES(RECEIPTS ) 1940 Tax Collections ....................................... $4376.00 Be it further resolved that; the City O~unc~l of the City of Sebastian herewith determines that the amount to be raised for all municipal purposes for the fiscal year 1940-1941 by taxation for the year 1940, is the sum of $2380.00 for general fund. purposes and $4376.00 for interest and sinking fund purposes to be used exclusively for City of Sebastian Refunding Bends,issue of 1939,dated July 1,1939; that ordinance he prepared providing a tax levy for such purposes in the amount of l0 mills for general fund purposes and 25 mills for interest and sinking ~[la~m purposes. The motion for the adoption of the resolution, being duly accepted, was declared adopted by the following vote: Ayes:. Motion seconded and carried. Councilman Brown moved, that it be read the second time by title. Motion seconded and carried. Councilman Brown moved that it be read. the third time by title and put upon its passage. Motion seconded and carried and upon roll call it Vickers, Brown, Shaw. Nays: None.
