THE TOTAL PROPOSED EXPENDITURES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1980-81 IS $797,524. THE
ANTICIPATED REVENUE, NOT INCLUDING AD VALOREM TAXES, IS $271,014. AD VALOREM
TAXES LAST YEAR BROUGHT IN $335,000. AND THAT IS THE FIGURE WE MUST WORK WITH AT
THIS TIME. TAKING $797,524. AND SUBTRACTING $271,014. LEAVES $526,510. AN~ FROM
A LEGAL STANDPOINT $335,000 CAN BE TAKEN OFF THAT, WHICH LEAVES $191,510. FROM
HERE WE WiLL HAVE TO WORK ON LAST YEAR'S ASSESSMENT AND RAISE AD VALOREM TAXES TO
REACH THIS BALANCE, OR GET SOME OTHER SURPLUS, OR TRIM THE BUDGET.
THERE FOLLOWED A LENGTHY DISCUSSION IN AN EFFORT TO ESTABLISH A TENTATIVE PROPOSED
MILLAGE. THIS MILLAGE FIGURE CAN BE DECREA'SED, BUT NOT INCREASED.
