Mitchell The City Tax Assessor, presented tax assessment roll for thc City of Sebastian, Florida for the year 1931 and the same was filed before the City Council sitting as an equalization beard; there was presented and filed, a proof of publication of notice that the ~ity Council would sit on .~ugust 10th, 1951, for the purpose of heariT~_:l cor.~pi~:~_~y:ts relative to and equalizing and correctin:!~ the ta~; assess~mnt roll, wi.~ch notice and proOfo of publication thereof is as follows: RESOLLTIOE' t0 ,~ The following resolution warn introduced by Councilm~m Hardee: Whereas, it appears tl~t due and legal notice ttmt the City Council of the City of Sebastian, Florida, would meet on the 10th day of august 1.,al. for the purpose of equalizing and correcting the ta~- assessment roll of said ~i-i;y for the year 1931 has been given, and 7,~ereas, the City Council did meet at said time for said ?urpose, and Whereas, all objections ~de to the said assessment roll have been duly considered, acted upon by this Co,moil, and said assessment roll corrected, equalized and adjusted fairly and equitably in the judgment of this Council; and ~he said Council having not found it necessary to raise the amount of the assessments appearing on said assessment roll; and, Whereas, it appears to the City Council of the City of Sebastian, Florida that said assessmuent roll is now correct and the valuation thereof equal, correct and just ,and that there are no further deductions or increases necessary; therefore, 'be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Sebastian, Florida, that the tax assessment roll for said City' for the year 1931 as prepared and prosed:ted to this Council and by it equalized and corrected, bc and th~o same is hereby approved and confirmed. The adoption of said. resolution being moved by Councilmar~ Hardee, seconded by Councilman Hicks and the roll being c.'alle~ t~:~:_r~_.:on, thc L3" the following vote: Ayes: Counciln?,e~'~ Hardee, Hicks, Park, Baugjaman and I'/-~rtin Nays: None. Hardee $. ~. Odom Councilman Hicks seconded the above Notion and it was carried b'vy the follow- ing vote: Ayes: Councilmen. ~ardee, Hicks, Baughman and Park, Martin Nays: None. Councilman Hardee moved that Clerk notify the City ..~ttorney to start suits for foreclosure on lots ?, 8, 9, 10, ll Carroll-Roberts subdivision assessed to the ~. Pierce Bank & Trust Company, lot 12, block l, belonging to A. G. Roberts and 13 block l, assessed to W. C. Braddock, if taxes are not paid by September l, 1951, and that the Att.orney notify the owners of the steps that arc being taken; wh which was seconded by Councilman Park and carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Baughman, Hardee, Hicks, Martin and Park Nays: None. ~0TION: made by Councilman Park, seconded by CounciLman Hardee, that Council adJ cum.
