Mayer Shaffer recemmended~that beginning.Sept. Letter from the ~eunty Oemmissleners requesting the ~ity te send a represen&tive te meeting te ~e held at the ~eunty ~e~m~issiener's teem at 10.00 A.M. ef September 2§th,1953. Said meeting held te discuss the hours for ~he sale ef alcoholic beverages in indian ~iver County,including the Municipalities.In ether weeds the hours as fixed will apply te the entire county inside er outside ef any Oity. It was moved by uouncilman ~llingsen that the ~ity Attorney Write a letter to Tallahassee te find out if the said local bill passed at the last session of the House ef nepresentatives was constitutional tnallewing the uounty ~e~amlssieners te set ~he hours for the sale ef $~~~ aleehelic beverages In the MuI~icipalities ef Indian niver County.Said metien was secended by Oeuncilman ~'ayler and carried.The ~ity Attorney was se instructed. Two applications ~$$1'Sweb~pp~aa~tmmm were read for the pesitien ef caretaker ef the streets and parks and en motion by ~ouncilman ~'ayler which was seconded.bt ~ouncil~n ~llingsen,Mr H.o.~arner was hired and te start at ~§0.00 per week constituting 40 hours er ~1.25 per hour,with the privilege ef working en Saturday if the work demands.carried. ~ills amounting te ~428.31 approved by the finance committee were authorized to be paid en motion by ueuncilman Ellingsen,secended by ~euncilman ~ayler, ueuncilman mllingsen was appointed te attend the ~eunty ~emmissienere ~eeting en Sep,t 2§th.as represent&~lve ef the uity ef Sebastian. Motion by ~eunellman ~llingsen and seconded by ~euncilman 'z'ayler that the ~lerk return certificate ef title for '~ruck owned by ~ Turlingten and Baas until such time when the City decides what action te take.carried. Ne action was taken en letter presented by councilman Taylor dealing with the oiling ef .euislana Ave,held ever until Councilman Sembler was present.
