Mr. Getrost presented ~he matter of the proposed youth center activity. He requested specifically the uae of space in thecity park. This was promised by the Council after organization and plans are completed. An ordinance combining the offices of Chief of Police, City Clerk Tax Assessir etc. was read by Attorney Mitchell - unanimously approved. Letter concerning Airport read by Councilman ~ohannon. Attorney Mitchell opened discussion on this a~d agreed to write to t~ae c~ncerning the .pfoject. On motion of Councilam Sembler seconded 'by Councilman Smith it was agreed to open bids again for sale of Sebastian City Airport property. Names of holders of City's bonds were presented. Mr. Mitchell will write a letter outlining City's present financial position. This will be addressed to bondholders by City Clerk. Mr.. Stevenson opened discussion on zoning law. discussed the matter. Mr. Mit chell · otion made by Councilman Sembler to adjourn at 10:0§ approv ed Regular Meeting Sebastian City Council August 20th, 1946 City Clerk Meeting called to order by Mayor Shafor at 7:30 PM. Present: Mayor Shaforl Councilmen Middleton, Sembler, Smith. Absent: Councilmen B~hannon and Turlington. Minutes of August 6th meeting were rea~ and approved. On motion of Councilman Sembler, seconded by Councilman Smith the following bills were ordered paid: From Fine and Forfeiture Fund Buckingham~neeler Agency for Car Insurance Helseth motor Co. for Ford Police Car Official License Pla&e for car $106.50 1,354.82 Committee reports Louisiana Avenue paving work is to be started at once. Motion made by Councilman Sembler, seconded by Councilman Smith, that Four iota are to be sold to Lilllan w.Meredith for $§00. down and balamce of $300. to be paid within 30 days. The Lots are 1, 2, 3 and. 4 in Block 4 Martin SubDivision. Motion Carried. Phillip Sture made an offer of $2,000. forLotz 1, 2, 3 and 4 - Central Avenue and Washington Place. The Council will take this under advisement. Mr. Sture to be notified at next meeting. Motion made by Councilman Sembler, seconded by Smith, that Police Uhtef~s salary be raised to $200. per month, starting September 1, 1946. Motion carried. Motion made by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Sembler that william T. Nelson be permitted to cut curbin on Central Avenue at his property to make a driveway. Motion carried.
