Those present were Mayor Rohme, President Sembler, and Councilmen ~innegan, Baxter, and Brehmer. Councilman Nash absent. City Engineer D~rling was also present. Engineer Darling reported to the Council of the progress achieved in mapping out the City as the City Limits now exists. President Sembler requested Councilman ~innegan to secure plats for each unit of Sebastian Highlands and Twin Lakes Division of the General Development Corp. for the City Engineer's use in making a new map for the city. City Clerk read a lease agreement prepared by theCity Ettorney for the lease of property known as Block A of W. A. Martin S/D. This lease between the City of Sebastian and Jack Baxter. Councilman Pinnegan moved to adopt said lease agreement subject to L Attorney Vocelle's clarification of assignability in reference to heirs and assigns of the lease and subject to the date becoming effective on August 22, 1960, also subject to the lessor being entitled Jack's Bottled Gas. This motion was seconded by Councilman Brehmer, carried. Clerk opened and read bids from Texaco, Gulf and Orange State oil companies for the ~ollowing: Installation of two five hundred gallon tanks, two gas pumps and one hand pump to be placed at the City Garage, the delivery of gas to' the City for a period of three years. Councilman Baxter made a',motion to accept Texaco 0il Co. bid, low bid of the three companies, of 16.1 per gallon for regular gas and 19.6 for high-test, plus applicable taxes. This motion was seconded by Councilman ~innegan and carried. Clerk read five bids for a l~ ton cab & chassis truck, namely Arnold ~ord, Roland Hiller Chev. and Indian River ~arm Supply of Vero Beach and Newell Motors and ~ordyce Chev. of Melbourne. After considerable discussion the Council agreed to let contract to either one of two companies, l, Miller Chev. and 2, Indian River Farm Supply. The final selection of contract to be determined by the Council after personal insDection of vehicles by Councilman~Baxter. Councilman Finnegan made a motion that a headstone be purchased for the grave of Sidney Gaines in the new recorded plat of the Sebastian Cemetery in accordance with regulations for this portion of the Cemetery. This headstone not to exceed $50.00 in cost, seconded by Councilman Brehmer. Carried. Clerk was instructed by the Council to have a picture of the City Hall placed on the City's letterheads and envelopes. Clerk read correspondence from Attorney in reference to quit claim deed for R/W of West Main st from W. G. Bosworth and a meeting with A. E. Sirota in reference to drainage in Sebastian Gardens Estates. Clerk re~d a rental agreement submitted by Arnold ~ord Sales for the rental of a police car'to the city. Councilman Baxter made a motion to advertise for Police Car Rentals. Specifications of contract to be the rental, maintenance and tires for a new Police vehicle to be furnished to the city every six months. This motion was seconded by Councilman Brehmer. Carried. Councilman Baxter reported to the Council that Mr. G. B. Campbell had requested that all city owned trucks be prohibited access to the use of ~oster Drive, which is a private roadway. Councilman Baxter proposed to the Council to have an agreement drawn up between Jack Baxter and the City of Sebastian to the effect that Jack Baxter would allow the city water rights from the well at this place of business located on the east side of Indian River Drive, where said drive intersects Main St. at no charge to the City. Councilman Baxter reported the use of a length of culvert on the drain at the East end of Main St. Councilman Baxter ma~e a motion to adjourn, seconded by'Councilman Pinnegan. Carried.
