MEETING CALLED TO ORDER BY MAYOR ZIMMER AT 7:15 P.M.
THOSE PRESENT: VICE MAYOR CRAGG, COUNCILMEN HOOSE AND YATES AND MAYOR ZIMMER. (COUNCILMAN FLOOD
ABSENT.) (ROD TAYLOR PRESENT).
MOTION ~AS MADE BY VICE MAYOR CRAGG AND SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN YATES TO GO AHEAD ~ITH PLANS FOR
BUILDING THE COMMUNITY BUILDING AND REMODELING CITY HALL.
ROLL CALL VOTE: AYES - VICE MAYOR CRAGG, COUNCILMEN HOOSE AND YATES AND MAYOR ZIMMER.
NAYS - NONE,
CARRIED.
MR. MERLE GOLDSMITH REQUESTED A LETTER BE ~RITTEN VERIFYING HIM AS THE SUPERINTENDENT OF CONSTRUCTION
ON NE~ COMMUNITY BUILDING AND THE AGREED UPON TERMS FOR ~ORK SCHEDULE. VICE MAYOR CRAGG AGREED
THAT SUCH A LETTER ~OULD BE WRITTEN AS SOON AS THE FINANCING HAS BEEN ARRANGED. (MERLE GOLDSMITH,

THERE WAS NO OBJECTION TO OPENING THE MEETING TO PAT FLOOD'S LIST OF QUESTIONS SUBMITTED BY THE
MAYOR. REFERS TO ENGINEER, CITY MARINA AND PARKS, AS ~ELL AS FEDERAL FUNDING.

END OF MAIN STREET.
B. GET LETTER OFF TO TALLAHASSEE - GAIL SAYES, BUD CLARK AND DON DUDEN, DEPT OF COMMUNITY
AFFAIRS, DIV OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. LETTER SHOULD STATE IT IS GOING TO 8E A CITY PARK
AND MARINA FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
C. MAKE APPLICATION FOR GRANT.
D. PURCHASE OLD HAMRICK PROPERTY?
E. SHOULD CONTACT D.O.& T. ON PAVING INDIAN RIVER DRIVE FROM MAIN STREET TO FIRST STREET
WHICH IS AN 80' RIGHTA~AY - GET PERMISSION TO BLACKTOP THE UNUSED PART OF THE RIGHTA~AY
TO BE USED AS A PARKING AREA.

~E PEOPLE REGARDING A STATEMENT BY MR. ~rBF~ FLETCHER OF ROSELAND WHICH APPEARED IN HER COLUMN,
THAT THERE HAS BEEN AN ORDINANCE ON THE BOOKS OF THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN FOR THE PAST T~O YEARS WHICH
PROVIDES THAT NO STREETS ON GDC PROPERTY WILL BE ACCEPTED BY THE CITY OF SEBASTIAN UNTIL 10% OF THE
AREA TO BE ACCEPTED HAS HOUSES BUILT ON IT.
