Those present were Mayor Taylor,President Sembler and Councilmen Nash,Chesser,Ellin~so and Benschop.Attorney Walker also present. Minutes of the last regular m~oeting of Julyg,1956 and special cal~ed meeting of July 19th were approved as read. Bills amounting to Eight Hundred Si~ty Five dollars ($865.00) was approved by the finan¢ committe~ and authorized to be paid on motion by Councilman Nash,seconded by Councilman Ellings on. Carri ed. Clerk was instructed by the Council to contact State Official and have Highway center line remarked and also to order enough rock for the resurfacing of 2nd Street. Council~n Chestier was given permission by the Council to have two tables constricted for the Park. Councilman Nash made a motion the City start using bond books in triplicate forms and to give Policemen ~lankets receipts until such time the new bond books arrives,sec. by CouncilEan Elllngson.Carried. Mayor Taylor read police report for month o~ ~uly which showed a net profit of $2,423.~ Councilman Ellingson made a motion to adjourn,seconded by Councilman Benschop.Carried. City Clerk Pres. Councl 1 Special Meeting August 31,1956 Meeting was called to order by President Sembler. Those present were I~ayor Taylor,President Sembler and Councilmen Benschop and Ellingson ~ Councilmen Nash and Chesser absent. ' The purpose of this meeting was to consider the purchase of a new Police car. Chairman Sembler suggested to the Council that different companies should be investigated as tomtheir prices. Councilman Ellingson made a motion that the City buy a Ford Intercepter~seconded by Councilman Benschop .Carried. The Council agreed to keep siren and blinker lights on present Police car. Mayor Taylor was given authority by the Council to purchase police car. There being no me~e- other business to come before the Council,meeting was adjourned. City Clerk Pre s. Coumcl 1
