The motion for the adoption of the motion being duly seconded, the same was adopted by the following vote. Ayes. Vickers, Middleton, Smith. Nays: None. Upon motion meeting adjourned to Oct. 29th 1941. Adjourned regular meeting Oct 29, 1941 Meeting was called to order by Chairman with the following members present: Councilman: Vickers, Middleton, Smith. . Councilman Smith moved that 1940 taxes of Y. A. Ross on Main Street be adjusted to allow a reduction of $5.00. Motion carried. Councilman Middleton offered the Budget Resolution for the year.and moved its adoption. Motion carried. Councilman Smith offered the tax levy Ordinance for the year and moved that it be read the first time in full Motion carried. He moved that it be roa~ the second time by title. Motion carried. He moved that it be read the third time by title and upo~ roll call it was adopted by the following vote: Vickers, Smith, Middleton. Mr. L. F. Chesses- appeared before the Council and inquired as to leasing a piece of waterfront property N. of Harrison St. Mr..Middleton made a motion that request be re~erred to legal dept. for study and advise as to title etc. Motion seconded and carried. Mr. Mlddleton made a motion that map of City as prepared by Engineer Deppen be accepted and that payment of 170.00 to pay for same be approved and that the City Clerk be instructed to secure 12 copies of same. Motion seconded and carried. Clerk was i~structed to write Hendricks regarding payments on house and lots. Motion to adjourn prevaile~. Regulsr Mee21ng December 2, 1941.
