RANDY JOACHIM, VICE MAYOR LEWIS GRAY AND CITY ATTORNEY L.B. VOCELLE. ABSENT: MAYOR PAT FLOOD, JR., (VACATION); COUNCILMAN CLIFFORD HOOSE. PUBLIC HEARING WAS CALLED TO OPEN BIDS FOR SOD AT THE TENNIS COURT AND FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A ROAD IN THE SEBASTIAN CEMETERY. NOTICE TO BID ON THE SOD WAS READ BY THE CITY CLERK. ONLY ONE BID WAS RECEIVED, FROM FLORIDA SOD CoMpANy, WHICH WAS OPENED BY MR. VOCELLE. THIS WAS IN TWO BIDS - ONE WHERE THEY WOULD DELIVER 36,000 SQUARE FEET OF ARGENTINA BAHIA SOD AND SPOTTING PALLETS FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF OTHER WORKMEN TO,TALL -6¢ PER SQUARE FO0~ OR A TOTAL OF $2,160. THE OTHER BID WAS FOR DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION- 7~¢ PER SQUARE FOOT OR A TOTAL OF $2,700. COUNCILMAN GASS PROPOSED TO FIGURE THE COST OF OUR OWN EMPLOYEES DOING THE JOB. VICE MAYOR GRAY SUGGESTED THAT IT BE TURNED OVER TO A BID REVIEW COMMITTEE AND A DECISION ANNOUNCED AT THE NEXT COUNCIL MEETING. THE CITY CLERK READ THE NOTICE TO BID ON CONSTRUCTION OF APPROXIMATELY 1600 SQUARE YARDS OF ROADWAY IN THE SEBASTIAN CEMETERY. ONLY ONE BID WAS RECEIVED, FROM JOHN TROGDLEN AND COMPANY, AS FOLLOWS: SUB-GRAD STABILIZATION CONSISTING OF 4" OF MARL MIXED TO 8" DEPTH AND 4" LIME ROCK BASE AFTER 20~TiNG TO N~-~ LESS THAN 95% DENSITY INCLUDIHG R~I~E AND TAC COAT ~ ,790.80 1" AFTER ROLLING OF ASP CONCRETE WEARING SURFACE 3,504.50 $9,982.80 TOTAL WITHOUT ASPHALTIC COF~ -'~78.30 MR.
