Those present were Mayor Ta~lor,Pres.Sembler and CounciLmen Chesser,Nash,Ellingson and Bensch op. Minutes of the last Regular Meeting of Aug.13,1956 and Special called meeting of Aug.31,19§6 were approved as read. Bills totaling seven handred five dollars and thirty one cents($705.31)was approved by the Finance Committee and a~thorized to be paid on motion by Councilman Elllngson, seconded by Councilman Chesser.Carried.Bills amounting to thirty two dollars and ninety five cents ($32.95! was authorized not to be paid on the above motion. Clerk was instructed to notify Atty.Walkerto arrange meeting with Board of County Comm~ ssioners and City~ounoi~ of Sebastian. Councilman Nash made a motion that the City have Attorney Walker draw up an 0rdinanc pertaining to the covering of Fish Pools during the period of mosquito spraying. Clerk was instructed to write a petition to the mosquito control board for mcre adequate spraying in the north end of the County.This petition to be signed by residents of Sebastian and distributed by the City's Policemen. Councilman Elllngson made a motion to have the City's Arty.write a letter to the Indian River County Zoning boardand suggest a change in zoning West of Sebastian from Agr~~xrml Industrial to Agricultural and also to reduce the floor space of a building from 800 feet to 600 feet.Seconded by Councilman Nash.Carried. Clerk was instructed to write W.0.Daley relative to the Auditing of the City's Books. Councilmen Ellingson made a motion to have both Police Revolvers Blued,seconded by Councilman Nash.Carried. Mayor Taylor gave the monthly Police report which showed a net~ of $2,7§4.31. Ma~or Taylor was requested by the Councilto get a fined trade in allowance Gm the present Police carand to get what facts he could on the advantages and disadvantages of a standard shift~ the Fo~d Intercepte~. Councilman Chesser made a motion the City buy two volumes of State Statutes,seconded by Councilman Ellingson.Carried. The subject of a new Police car was discussed and Councilman Ellingson made a motion the City purchase a Ford Intercepter,two door,standard shift,without a radio.Seconded by Cc~Ancilman Nash.Carried. City Clerk was given a~thority to purchase Police car. The Council agreed that all repairs on City equiptment will not require a purchasing order.
