~ting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by President Zimmer.
)se present: Mayor Boone, Councilmen Owens, Bruce, Johnson, T, eonardy and Zimmer.
Minutes of regular August meeting read and Councilman Owens moved that they be accepted.
Seconded by Councilman T, eonardy. Carried.
Motion by CounCilman ~eonardy, seconded by Councilman Bruce, to pay August bills, in the
amount of $1740.72. Carried.
Fifteen minutes for public.
Committee reports were given.
Motion by Councilman Johnson that $650.00 be appropriated for improving drainage and placing ~
/
a culvert across Indian Rive~r Drive between Earl Roberts and By-Rzte properties, after the ~
city has received ~rom"~both,~i~a~~s~?extsnding out 250 feet. Seconded by Councilm~
0wens. Carried.
Councilman I. eonardy gave following report: "At this ti~e there has been no meeting between
the representative of the space convention or members of the various service groups, and
untiT we can have this meeting and gather further information on the proposed space convention
this committee is not in a position to make any recommendations."
;ion by CoUncilman Johnson to accept contract between the city and G & M Communications, Inc.
Seconded by Councilman T~eonardy. Carried.
Motion by Councilman Y,eonardy to let out bids for 1966 police car for both rental and purchase
to. be submitted and letters to be sent to all dealers following publications. Seconded by
Councilman Owens. Carried.
President Zimmer appointed Councilman Johnson, to be assisted by Councilman Bruce, to check
out use of and any costs to city for use of city dump by W. H. Owens.
CounciTman ~eonardy took the chair. Mr. Zimmer read para~z~h~f~om newsletter published by
Civic Association and challenged the association as to certain statements.
