MAYOR FLOOD STATED THAT SEVERAL MEETINGS HAVE BEEN HELD TO DISCUSS REVISIONS OF THE PROPOSED
CHARTER. AT ONE OF THE MEETINGS, MR. RICHARD SZELUGA SUGGESTED THAT iN SEC. 2.19, STANDING
COMMITTEES (b), THE WORD "PERiODiCAL" BE CHANGED TO "MONTHLY". AFTER SOME DISCUSSION, IT WAS
DECIDED THAT THE AMENDMENT BE RECONSIDERED AT THE NEXT PUBLIC HEARING.
THE CITY CLERK READ BY TITLE ONLY FOR THE FIRST TIME, AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THE EXISTING CHARTER
OF THE CITY SEBASTIAN, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR A REFERENDUM ELECTION; PROVIDING FOR E~'TABLISHING
A DATE FOR A REFERENDUM ELECTION BY RESOLUTION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
MOTION BY COUNCILMAN JOACHIM, SECONDED BY VICE MAYOR GRAY, TO ACCEPT THE ORDINANCE AS READ AND
TO SCHEDULE A PUBLIC HEARING AT CITY HALL ON OCTOBER 4, 1978, AT 7:00 P.M.
