Fire Department approval to conduct a bonfire at the

require a permit for a ceremonial fire and that the
Panthers will leave the area as is.

Vice Mayor Oberbeck commended the City Engineer on
his September 20, 1991 letter to Jim Davis relative
to Fleming Street extension and, subsequent to a
discussion of the placement of poles by FPL adjacent
to U.S. 1, requested that staff take temporary action
to alleviate the possibility of accidents relative to
placement in the middle of sidewalks.

Councilman Powell announced that the Sebastian Junior
Women's Club was seeking a location for its annual
Haunted House.
The City Attorney reported on Palm Bay's Stormwater
Utility program at the request of Councilman Powell.

Councilman Reid noted that, in light of the recent
closure of CR 512 which in his opinion did not cause
serious traffic problems, there are alternatives to
review with indian River County when the city meets
with them on CR 512.
CITY ATTORNEY MATTERS
The City Attorney stated that Attorney Torpy would
fill in for him at the October 2, 1991 workshop since
he will be out of town.
CiTY MANAGER MATTERS
The City Manager said staff was working on the
Mayor's request for a total of funds spent on
