per~:ission of the War Department of the United St~'tes
Therefore Be It Resolved, by the City Council of the City' of Sebasti.~n,
that ~yor Geo. T. ~adger, be ~nd he is hereby ~u'thorized and eh:powered in the
n~me of and on behalf of the 0ity of Sebastian to make ipplic~tion for ~
permit for the const:~cti:'.n of said dock to the War Department and to -t:~ke
~i1 n.~cessary steps ~nd action to obtain su~ permit.
Those votin~ in favor of the above resolutionwere: Councilmen Hicks, H~rdee,
Park, Bau,~[hman and ~ffartin.

Be It Resolved, that the budget of expenditures and disbursements of the
City of Sebastian, Florida for the fiscal year 1930-1931 be, and the same is
hereby fixed as follows:

Be It Furth-~r resolved, that the City Council of the City of Sebastian does
determine that the amount to be raised for all municipal purposes for the
fiscal year 1931-1932 by taxation for the year 1931, is the sum of $8632.44,
and that in order to provide the funds necessary for this purpose that the
rate of taxation for the said City for the year 1931 shall be l0 mills on the
dollar assessed value of the taxable property within said City; 5.49 mills
of said l0 mills being for the purpose of providing funds for the general
fund 4.28 mills of the said l0 mills being for the purpose of retl:ing of
princi.pal and interest on Electric Light and Ice Plant Bonds; and .23 mills
for the purpose of public an~Asement and entertainment, publicity and advertisement
of maid City.
Be It Further resolved, that the City Attorney of said City be, and he is
hereby instructed to prepare tax ordinance in accordance herewith.
Said resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Hardee and upon being put
to a vote was adopted as follows:
Ayes: Councilmen Hardee, Park, Hicks, Baughman and Martin
Nay s: None.
An Ordinance providing for the levy of taxes in the City of Sebastian,
Florida for the fiscal year 1931-1932 was read for the first time in full.
MOTION: made by Councilman Hardee, seconded by Councilman Park, that Ordinance
be read the second time by title only.
Motion carried.
Continuation of Regular Meeting September 28, 1931.
Notion made by Councilman Hicks, seconded by Councilman Baughman that
ordinance' be read the third time by title only and put upon its passage.
Notion carried.
Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Hardee, Park, Hicks, Baughman and Martin.
Nay s: None.
Councilman Hardee is to investigate as to who the representative for the
L &. L. Truck line is in Sebastian and report at next meeting.
The question as to whether or not the Board of Public Instruction would
be held liable for the special assessment liens against their property was
brought before the Council and the City Attorney is to report at next meeting.
A Letter from Mrs. Annie Ruffner pertaining to the city tax on the
Ruffner estate was read and the Clerk was instructed to write her that all the
valuations have been equalized and that they could not make any changes.
