Minutes ef the previous meeting were read and approved as read. Motion made by Councilman Sembler ,that the Council accept the Coupons sent by MR.Baynard of St.Petersburg,Fla.and in payment therof the city draw a check to the amount of $250 to be sent te Mr.Baynard, On second by Council- man Smith the Motion was carried. Councilman Smith offered a resolution to sell a city owned let ts Mr.W.L. Baynard for the amount ~f $250.Councilman Harde~ seconed the resolution, Yeas,Smith,Hardee,Sembler Nays~ none Carried. The Chair appointed a Commitee consisting of:Councilmen Hardee,Smith Sem~ler te select a suitable lot. Councilman Smith moved to accept the deed from ~!r.G.F.Vickers to the City of Sebastian for property which is now being sold to Mr.Chas.Hendricks,on second hy Councilman Sembler,carried unanimously. Councilman Hardee moved to roe,rd deeds te properties in possession ef the City of S~bastian and recently received from Mr.G.F.Vickers as trustee. On second by Councilman Smith the motion was carried unanimously. Councilman Sem01er moved that the clerk be instructed to writ. e,Mr.G.F.Vickers for an accounting of properties held and later sold while trustee of City Properties. On second hy $ouncilman Hardee the motion carried. ~ motion to set 0cteber 23,1945 at 7:30 P.~. ~s date of meeting of the Board of Equalization,made by Councilman Sem01er and seconded by Councilman Hardee was carried with directions to post notices in three places. 14otion .by Councilman Semb. ler,seconded by ~euncilman Smith that the clerk turn ~ver delincuent taxomeceipts to Attorney Mitchell to be advertised for sale. Motion carried. Miss R.Emma Logan was employed by the §ouncil to work with Mfs.David Rose,at $1B (flfte~n dollars) a week until fmmiliar with the work after which mrrang- ments for a fixed salary and. hours o~ work would be made. Florida, will present the taX lr assessment roll of said City for the year,' 1 1945 to the City Council of sald Cityl! at the City Hail itt Sebastian, Florida, at the hour of 7:80 o'clock p. October 5, 194~ After due consideration was given to complaints in person er writing Conncilman Sembler introduced the following Resolution: WHEREAS,due notice bye publication thereof has been given that the City Tax Assessor of the City of Sebastian,Florida, would meet with the City Council of s~id City ~n the 23rd day of 0ctober,1945, and would at such time present the tax assessment roll of said city for the year 1945 for equalization as will appeer by proof of publication of such notice rec®rded in the minutes of this meeting; and, ~EREAS,Pursuant to such notice the said City Tax Assessor did meet with the City Council of the City ef Sebastian,Florida, on this 23rd day of 0ctcber 1945, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.~., in the City Hall of s~id City and did present the tax assessment roll of said City for the year 1945 and the City Council of said City has at this time convened as a board of equalization for the purpose of examining saidr~oll and of receiving complaints and testimony with regard to the same and with r~guard to the value of any property,real or personal, as fixed by the City Assessor of Taxes upon such roll: and WHER~S,The City Council of The City of gebas~ian has' heard all such complaints and has received all such tetimony mffered, if,any,and has examined and rew&$~ed saidassessment roll and has found it unnecessary to increase the valuation of of any property shown thereon and found such assessment roll to be correct; therefore, BE iT RESOLVED That the City Council ef the City ef Sebastian,Florida,does find the tax assessment roll of said City as presented for the year 1945, robie e~ual and Just and does herewith approve,ratify and confirm the same.
