COUNCILMAN RICHARD SZELUGA LEAD THE COUNCIL AND PUBLIC IN THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
TO THE FLAG.
MAYOR GALLAGHER ANNOUNCED THAT RADIO STATION WAVE 105 WILL HAVE A PROGRAM REGARDING
THE SEBASTIAN PARENT CHILD WATCH PROGRAM. MAYOR GALLAGHER STATED THAT HE WOULD
LIKE TO AGAIN THANK MR. VAN DE BLOOMEN FOR THE HAND RAILS THAT HAVE BEEN INSTALLED
AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE TO THE CITY HALL COMPLEX. MR. DON NEIHAUS FOR THE CHRISTMAN
TREE LOCATED IN THE FRONT OF CITY HALL AND THE SEBASTIAN SUN FOR THE PLANTS

MAYOR GALLAGHER'S RECOMMENDATION WAS THAT THE DELETION OF "VERY SERIOUS
MATTER (SUCH AS" FROM ITEM #4 ON THE CHIEF NAPPI RE-EMPLOYMENT OFFER. )
MAYOR GALLAGHER STATED THAT #4 WOULD NOW READ "THE CITY WILL AGREE THAT
IF CHIEF MAPPI SHOULD BE TERMINATED WITHIN 24 MONTHS OF THE DATE OF THIS
LETTER FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN A CONVICTION OF A FELONY, HE WOULD BE PAID

IN CONTRACTS WITH CITY EMPLOYEES AND THAT HE WAS NOT AGAINST THE CHIEF RE-
TRUNING IN ANY WAY.
MAYOR GALLAGHER REQUESTED THAT THE COUNCIL GO TO ITEM #2 REGARDING THE
REQUEST TO PLACE A GUM BALL MACHINE IN THE LOBBY OF CITY HALL.
VICE MAYOR MCKINLEY STATED THAT SHE WOULD NOT HAVE ANY OBJECTIONS.
COUNCILMAN SZELUGA STATED THAT HE WAS CONCERNED ONLY WITH THE FACT THAT
ONCE THE COUNCIL APPROVE A GUM BALL MACHINE THE LOBBY WOULD BE FILLED WITH
ALL TYPES OF VENDING MACHINES AND HE DID NOT CARE TO SEE THAT HAPPEN.

THE COUNCIL AND DETERMINE THE BOARDS ACTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS.
MR. HARRIS, CHAIRMAN, PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION READ THE VERBATIM
EXCERP FOR THE RECORD. (ATTACHED) HE ADDED THAT THE LEARNING NEST WAS IN
AN R-2 DISTRICT AND THAT IT WOULD BE A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO THE ZONING
ORDINANCE WITH COUNCIL APPROVAL.
