The minutes of the regular meeting of September 28, were read and approved.
Mayor Badger told of having submitted plans to the U. S. War Department for the
· onstruction of a municipal dock in the City of Sebastian to be located at the
foot of Main Street.
The Clerk was instructed to write Mrs. Dora Tucker informing her that her
property had not been sold for City taxes; also to write the State Comptroller's
office regarding a license tax of $25.00 which is bo be distributed from
auto transportation mileage tax collections to Cities and Towns in which are
maintained agencies.
A Committee of three Councilmen Hicks, Baughman and Martin are to meet with
the local Board of Public Instruction to see if they would sanction giving
a quit claim deed to the City for the old school property in Sebastian since it is
not used for school purposes. Then with their approval the subject to be taken
up with the County school Board.
Punch boards being operated in the City of Sebastian without licenses was
called to the attention of the Council by Councilman Hardee.
Councilman Park moved that the Olty Attorney he instructed to prepare an
ordinance imposing a license tax of $10.00 per year on persons operating
punch boards in the City of Sebastian; which was seconded ~y Councilman Hicks
and carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Hicks, Park Hardee, Baughman and Martin
Nays: None.
Motion: made by Councilman Park, seconded by Councilman Hicks, that Council
adjourn.
Motion carried.
