HomeMy WebLinkAbout10121961Adjourned Meeting October 12, 1961 Meeting adjourned October 9, 1961, for lack of a quorum. Mayor Simmons set October 12th - 7:00 P. M. for continuation of adjourned meeting. Meeting wag called to order by Chairman Pro-tem Baxter. Those present were Mayor Simmons, Councilman Copp, Council- man Nash, and Councilman BaRter. President Sembler and Councilman DeCris~ofaro absent. Minutes of regular meetings of September 11, and September 25, 1961 were at~proved as read. Councilman ~.~ash made a motion, Seconded b~.~' Co~cilman Copp, and carried that the following names be stricken from the list of registered voters; Arthur N. Allen Chas. R. Beesley Robert E. Beesley Pearla E. Beugnot Louise M. ~ulineau Frank W. B0ulineau Rosa L. Brock Rubin R. Brock John J. Finnegan Mrs. John J. Finnegan Jean E. Fredell Mard~aret H. Leach Paris P. Leach Melvin Pestle George Van DerVolgen Councilman Nash made a motion that bills in the a~ount o~ 2,237.80 be paid. Seconded by Councilman Copp. Carried. Council~aan Nash made a motion that City Clerk, Ruth W. Edenfield ' 0 be paid $35 .00 per month and salary to be retroactive as of September 25, 1961, date of ai~pointment. Seconded by Councilman Copp. Carried. Councilman Nash made a motion that October 31st bei~ the end of our fiscal year, City Auditor, ~.!. O. Daley & Co. be notified that the City Records .will be ready for Auditin~ between November 10th and 15th and request that thel~ take over during the mentioned time. Seconded by CoUncilman Copp. Carried. President Pro-te~ Baxter al:~pointed Councilman Nash to see about getting a voting machine for December 11, election. Mayor Si~mons stated that the P.T.A. requested the City have the School Park lights turned on for their Halloween Carnival. Council Approved. Copp. Councilman Nash ~ao~ed to adjourn.
