October 14,1957
Meeting was called to order by President Sembler.
Those present were ~ayor Taylor,President Sembler and Councilmen Benschop,
Chesser,Ellingsen and Brehmer.

Bills amounting to~2~Ffwas approved by the Finance Committee and author-
ized to be paid on motion by Councilman Brehmer,seconded by Councilman
Ellingsen. Carried
Councilman Ellingsen made a motion to retain W.O.Daley & Co.as Auditors
for the City for the Fiscal year emding Oct.31,1957.Seconded by Councilman
BrehmeroCarried
~yor Taylor read proclamation of coming election.
i~s. Chesser made a motion t~strike following names from the registration
books.Seconded by Councilman Be~schop. Carried
Councilman Ellingsen made a motion the City hire the following persons.
as Clerk and inspectors of City election to be held Dec.9,1957.~.~s.Daisy
Sch~9~as Clerk,Mfs.Dewey Jordan~s.Joe E.Warren and Mrs Effie Stevenson
as~~,seconded by Councilman Brehmer. Carried.
'coUncilman Brehmer reported a complaint from Mfs.Abraham Foster of the
need of a street light in front of her home.This complaint was table~ until
such a time the City could set up
whole. ,
Councilman Benschop asked for a raise for City E;nployee Robert Kapp.
Councilman Ellingsen made a motion to increase Robert Kapp's salary
12~per hr.to become effective 0ct.17,1957,seconded by Councilman.Brehmer..
Carried.
Councilman Ellingsen made a motion to have Lloyd Associate.t.survey...~rtin
Avenue,seconded by Mrs.Chesser.Carried.
Mayor Taylor read monthly Police report which showed a net profit.of
~2,940.55.
Councilman Ellingsen :nade a :notion to increase Policeman Joseph Brook's
salary to ~325.O0 per month to become effective 0ct.15,1957,socond~d by
Councilman Brehmer. Carried.
Councilman Brehmer made a motion to have Police revolvers blacked,sec.
by Councilman Ellingsen. Carried.
Councilman Elllngsen made a motion to adjourn,seconded by Councilman
Benschop. Carried.
