Councilman Mtddleton gave a talk on certain improvements of property of the City of Sebastian..Report of commitee on radio which is to be put in police car was dropped for the present. Talk by Mr. Paul Stevenson on City Property ,discussion on finishing Louisana Ave. by Simbler, Baukmann and Braddock. ( 3900.0 to be added to R.E.Turlingtons original appraisal. Brought by Smith and Bohannon to be recorded. Mr. Peterson and Mr. Arnold introduced to Councilman by Mr. Middleton for jobs as City Clerk and police and it was agreed to wait until Mayor Shafor was present as there were several applications to be considered. Visitors presnt were the following, Mr.& Mrs.Paul Stevenson,Mr. Lexworth,Mr. Arnold and Mr. Peterson. Mr. Turlington made a motion, seconded by Sembler that chief police see about camp cars on siding be notified to clean up the situation of not having sanitary toilets for men employed bt the F.E.C. Motion made to adjourn by councilman Turltngton.Meeting adjourned. Called Meeting 10-21-46 Special Meeting of Council called by Mayor Shafor with the following present~ Middleton Bohannon Smith Sim'~ler Motion made by Councilman that the city secure the services of H.~.Rice as clerk at a salary of $150.00 per mo. Unanimously carried. Counilman Simler moved that the bond i'or city clerk be rduced tS $1.000 .00 unanimously carried. Motion duly made and carried that the council accept the resignation of Marshall 0'Neal as City Clerk, Motion carried. Motion made 'by Councilman Bohannon and seconded by Councilman Simbler and ~hat~'~Sp~edysigns be put up each end of La. Ave. 25mi.per.hr. Resolution made by council,motipn by concilmanSimbler and seconded by Smith and carried that the city sell the lot known as the (Gove) for the sum of $3500.00, $1~00.00 cash and balance due ~une 1,1947 Motion made by Bohannon, seconded by Smith that the city pay Margaret Futch for 100 hrs. and ordred fo~ that amount Meeting adjourned at 9 P.M.
