Meeting called to order by President Sweatt.
Those present were Mayor Shaffer,President Sweatt and Councilmen Ellingsen,Nash and
Taylor.
Minutes of ~the last meeting two meetings Hegular meeting of September 28 and Special
meeting of october 6th.were approved as read.
Dills amounting to ~397.23 approved by the finance committee were authorized to be paid
on m~on. by .Oouncilman Sllingsen and seconded by Councilman Nash.Oarriee~.

' The ~'ire Oepartment had represen%tatives at the meeting and discussed terms with the City
as to the upkeep of the Tank Truck the ~ire Oepartment wishes to present to the City.
After some discussion i~ was moved by councilman Elllngsen that the ~'ire Department Truck
be accepted with the unders~tanding that the Fire Departmentwould pay all expenses over the
budget set up for the City.carried.
Clerk was instructed to see that the ~treet-and Alley Committee were informed when the
work on Louisiana was to 0e started.
It was moved by Councilman Taylor and seconded by OouncilEan ~llingsen that necessary
signs be painted and put up for the regulation of truck route in City.Mayor Shaffer is to
have same in charge.Carried.
Ceuncllman Taylor asked that the streets be remarked for parking and was informed that
that project would be turned over ~o the Street Oepartment.
There be no more business to come before the Council meeting was duly adjourned.

~llingsen and seconded by uouncilman Nash,
ouilding permit presented by ~r noyal ~ulver was passed on motion Oy uouncilman ~llingsen
and seconded Dy uouncilman ~ash.
~uildlng permit presented by Mr Paris neach was passed on motion by ~ouncilman mllingsen
~d seconded by ~ouncilman Taylor.
olerk was instructed to write letter to the Masonic Lodge account of broken septic tank.
and also to ~r ketchum of the ~outhern Dell '~'elephone Co inviting him to attend uouneil
meeting of ~ovember 9,1953 to have him explain telephone rates to ~ouncil.
At was moved by uouncilman %'aylor and seconded 'by ~ouncilman ~llingSen to authorize the
street anA alley ~hairman to have ~hurch of ~od property leveled off by the city man After
working hours and on his own time useing uity equipment. ~arried.
Councilman ~embler told the ulty ~ouncil that people taking rubbish to t~e dump were
not dumping the ruOblsh in the dump and suggested passing an ordinance to cover lnproper
dumping of same.The ulerk was instructed to have city Attorney draw up '0rdinance to cover
same .
Oouncilman Sembler,'~'aylor and ~ash were appointed by PreSident ~weatt as ~ommittee to
look after ditch of S.A.Rudds property to drain off water coming fro~ North ~entral Ave
drain sewer.
There being no more business to come before the ~ouncil meeting was duly adJourned~.
