HomeMy WebLinkAbout10261962SPECIAL EMERGENCY MEETING, OCTOBER 26, 1962 Meeting called to order at 7:20 P.M. by President Channell. Those present: Mayor Boone, Councilman Stevenson, Witt, DeCristofaro, Leonardy and Channell. Councilman Witt was appointed acting Civil Defense Director. Motion made by Councilman Leonardy that A. T. Jordan be appointed Assistant Civil Defense Director. Seconded by Councilman Witt. Carried. Motion made by Councilman Witt that Chief of Police Rohme turn over to Civil Defense Director the roster of men to work in different areas of the city, these men to be under supervision of Civil Defense Director. Seconded by Councilman Stevenson. Carried. By unanimous consent Disabled Veterans' Occupational City License exemption was discussed. Councilman Leonardy moved that all disabled veterans be exempt from purchasing city occupational licenses. Seconded by Codncilman DeCristofaro. Carried. Talk followed by Mr. Joe E~rman on Civil Defense. President Channell excused at 9:40 P.M. President Pro-rem Leonardy assumed the chair. Motion made by Councilman Stevenson that Dr. Schofield be contacted for permission to leave Dr. Kelso at clinic to supervise in case of emergency. Seconded by Councilman DeCristofaro. Carried. Clerk was authorized to have generators hooked up for safe operation. Clerk was instructed to set up plan for medical service utilizing retired doctors. Motion to adjourn by Councilman Witt. Seconded by Councilman DeCristofaro. Carried. Meeting adjourned at 10:25 P.M.
