Meeting was called to order by chairman the roll called with the following members present:
l~ayor Geo. T. Badger, Councilmen: Baughnnan, Vickers, Murdoch, Atty. Vocelle.
Minutes of meetings of July 19, Sept. 6, 7, and 30 were r~ad and adopted.
Councilman Vicker.s introduced the following resolution:
Resolution
Be it resolved,that th.e budget of expendit, ures and disbursements of the *Ity of
Sebastian, Florida, for the fiscal year 1937-1938 be, and the same is hereby
fixed as follows:

Be it further resolved, that the City CounCil of the City of Sebastian does
determine that the amount to be raised for all municipal purposes for the fiscal year
1937-1938 by taxatl, on for the year 1937, is the sum of $3,4~,~.44 and that in order to provi,
necessary funds for this purpose the rate of taxation for the said city for the year
1937 shall be 20 mills on the dollar assessed vmlue of the taxable property within
said city; l0 mills of said 20 mills being for the purpose of providing i~dm for
the general fund; l0 mills of said 20 mills being for the purpose
and interest on the outstanding lndebtednes of said city.
Be it further resolved, that the City attorney of said city be, and he is, hereby
instruct~d to p:epare tax ordinance herewith.
Said resolution being put to a vote by roll call was adopted as follows:
&yes: Baugkman, Vickers, Murdoch. Nays: None.
Councilman Vickers introduced an ordinance entitled: an Ordinance Providing For The
Levy of Taxes in the City of Sebastian, Florida, for the Year 1937 and moved that it
be read for the first time in full. Motion sedonded a~d ordinance read. Councilman
Murdoch moved that it be read the 2nd time by title only. ~otion se~o~de~ and
Ordinance.was read by title.Councilman Vickers moved that it be read by title and
put upon its passage. Motion seconded and carried. Upon roll call was adopted
by the following Vote: Ayes: Baughman, Vickers,' Murdoch. Nays: None.
Councilman Vickers made a motion that the regular meeting of the City Council 'be
the first Tuesday night in each month. Motion sedonded and carried.
Councilman Murdoch moved Zo adjourn. Motion seconded and carried.

Minutes of meetings of Oct. 4 and adjourned regular meeting Oct ll were read and
adopted. ~ ~
The following resolution was ~ntroduced 0y Councilman ~.!urdoch:~V,~ereas, under the
ordinances and charter of the City of Sebastian, Florida, a general city election is
to 0e held in said city on the 13 day of Dec. 1937, for the purpose of electing a
Mayor and two mem0ers of the City Council of said city for a term of two years each,
and whereas, petitions have been duly presented to the City Council of the City of
Sebastian, Florida, in accordance with law, signed by the requisite number of qualified
electors, requesting that the names of the following persons be placed on the ballot
as candidates for the office of Eayor and Councilmen: For Mayor: Geo. T. Badger.
For Councilmen: L. 0. Baughman, E. W. Vickers.
Therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Sebastian, Florida, that
the above and foregoing names be placed on the official ballot to be voted at the
election to be hel~ in said city on the 13 day of December, 1937, and that the
following form of official ballot be used:
