Those present were: Mmyor Steven.~:~on, President Sembler, Councilman De Crlstofaro, B~nschop, Baxter and Brehmer. Attorney Vocelle' and City Engineer also present. Attorney Vocelle spoke to the Council re~arding the hearing of the closing of the depot on December 8Z, 1959. Councilman Brehmer made a motion to adopt the following Deed restrictions for cemetery lots. 1. Purchase of a lot or grave space shall convey only the right to burial therein subject to such regulations as may be in force or that may be adopted by the City of Sebastian. 2. Lots or grave sp~c :~ shall be used only for the burial of the human dead. Only one interment shall be made an a grave, except a mother and infant, or two children in one coffin. No burials above ground in vaults shall be permitted. Graves ~ust be located by the Engineering Depertment of the City and dug not less than 5 feet deep. Cemetery cloth must be used by per~ons opening grave and they must notify the city when ready for inspection. 3.~No lot owners shall allow interments on their lots for a renumeration nor shall any transfer of interest therein be valid wxcept by written consent of the City of Sebastian. No lots shall be sold to speculators. 4. No inclosure of any nature ~uch as fences, copings, hedge~ or ditches shall be allowed around any lots. Grave mounds shall not be allowed. 5. No trees, plants or shrubs shall be planted, pruned or ~emoved except by the Superintendent of the Cemetery who shall bare the authority to do so upon any lot when he may consider suhh a course necessar~~.~~ ' I. ~. Individual graves shall be marked with headstones of granite or concrete having a f~at surface set f~ush with the surface of the 'ground. They shall not be le~s tha~ 5 inches thick, not less tha~ 8 nor more than 12 inches wide, mud not more than 24 inches long. They shall bear only the inscription in depressed letters of the person's name, ds.re of birth and ~ate of death. 7. An easement is reserved along all lot lines for water pipes.
