Special Meeting called by ~aygr ~oberts to discuss building permits for the
City of Sebastian.
Meeting called to order by President Mlddleton. No roll call.A~l present except Councilma

After considerable discussion on the building permits issued by the City o~
Sebastian it was ;norad by Councilman Stevenson and seconded by councilman
Letchworth to draw up resolutions:for chapter 17 covering building permits
Said resolution causing a few minor changes. ~esolutlon carried.
Olerk was instructed to call Mr Simon at Jacksonville for a meeting with the
City Count il.

Those answering roll call were Mayor Hoberts,President Middlwton,Ooumoilmen Sembler,
Smith,Stevenson and Letchworth. ,All Present 0ity's Attorney Mr Mitchell present.
Minutes were read and approved by motion by Councilman Smith which was seconded
by councilman LetchwortM, Bills re~dered were ordered paid Motion Con Smith and sec
Coun. Le tchwor~h.
The Engineers from the Florida Power ~ Light ~o were present and there was considerable
discussion on the lighting of.the City as to cost and replacement of lights now
not in pperat_i, on.Ree~bursment to the City of Sebastian of 3.61 for the ~hlte way ~light
at corner of Main and Highway 1 was promised by the Florida Power & Light UfficaiAs.
Motion by Councilman Sembler and Seconded by .0ouncilman Leych~orth to advertise the
old Police Car for two issues in the news papers.To be sold under sealed bids with
privilege of the City to reject all bids if nescesaary, uarrled.
It was moved by Oouncilman Sembler and seconded by Council~n Smith the City draw up
resolution on the coming election which will be the second monday in December,being
Monday December 15,19~8. Carried.
clerk Mrs ~ary B Tucker,and Inspectors ~ank ~uckles,P.P.~awson and J.H.Penntngtcn
were appointed bythe Council to serve on the Election Board.
On a motion by Councilman Smith whichwas secondecby Coune.~!~a~n Sembler officer
Adams salary be raised to 200.00 per month.one vote no. b~r~eu~ellman Steveneon.0arrled.
Motion by Councilman Stevenson to raise the salary of Officer 0'Neal fron 225.00 to
235.00 per month was seconded by 0ouncilman Smith.one vote no by Councilman Letchworth.
It was moved by Councilman Letchworth and seconded by Councilman Sembler to have a
more systematical r~eport.on the e~xpense of t~e police car,and the milage to be taken
