MOTION BY COUNCILMAN HIERS THAT OCTOBER BILLS OF $1,892.35 BE PAID SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN
YATES CARRIED.

COMMITTEE REPORTS WERE GIVEN.
CLERK INSTRUCTED TO HAVE SPECiFiCATIONS AND BIDS PREPARED FOR RESURFACING MAIN STREET FROM
RAILROAD TO SCHOOL.
SPECIAL MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING CALLED FOR WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 1970 at 7:00 P.M.
BID ON POLICE CAR WERE OPENED AND A COMMITTEE COMPOSED OF COUNCILM~# YATES, SNELL AND CHIEF CUMMINS
WERE APPOINTED TO RECOMMEND ON PURCHASE AT SPECIAL MEETING.
REQUEST OF RODNEY KROEGEL TO APPLY FOR STATE DOCK PERMIT APPROVED.
MOTION BY COUNCILMAN YATES THAT $6,000.00 BE APPROVED TO PURCHASE WATERFRONT PROPERTY AND CITY CLERK
AUTHORIZED TO NEGOTIATE FOR THIS PURCHASE. SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN THOMAS. CARRIED.
MAYOR ~NSTRUCTED TO GET QUOTATION ON PRICE FOR STREET SIGN AND REPORT BACK TO COUNCIL AT NEXT
REGULAR MEETING.

MOTION BY COUNCILMAN YATES THAT BID OF ARNOLD FORD OF $3,469.84 BE ACCEPTED AS BEST FOR CITY.

MOTION BY COUNCILMAN YATES THAT ACTION ON POLICE RADIO BE TABLED UNTIL DECEMBER MEETING. SECONDED

AFTER LENGTHY DISCUSSION BOTH PRO AND CON ON RACES AT AIRPORT,
WITHDREW THEIR PROPOSAL FOR HOLDING RACES AT THE AIRPORT.
