A SPECIAL MEETING WAS CALLED AT 10:30 TO DISCUSS THE PROPOSED GASOLINE CONTRACT.
PRESENT: VICE MAYOR LEWIS GRAY, COUNCILMEN CLIFFORD HOOSE AND EVERETT T. GASS, AND MAYOR
F. EUGENE CRAGG.
ABSENT: COUNCILMAN JOHN JOACHIM AND MR. L. B. VOCELLE.
MAYOR CRAGG WAS ADVISED BY T~ CITY ATTORNEY THAT THE MOTION MADE AT THE NOVEMBER 14, 1977
MEETING TO ACCEPT THE GASOLINE CONTRACT WITH EARMAN OIL COMPANY SHOULD BE RESCINDED AND THE
REQUEST FOR A CONTRACT BE ADVERTISED FOR BIDS.
MOTION BY COUNCILMAN GASS, SECONDED BY VICE MAYOR GRAY, TO RESCIND THE NOVEMBER 14, 1977
MOTION TO ACCEPT THE EARMAN OIL COMPANY PROPOSAL ON THE NEW GASOLINE SYSTEM. CARRIED.
MOTION BY VICE MAYOR GRAY, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN HOOSE, THAT THE REQUEST FOR GASOLINE
CONTRACT BE ADVERTISED FOR BIDS. CARRIED.
A COPY OF THE EARMAN OiL COMPANY CONTRACT WITH VERO BEACH HAS BEEN OBTAINED AND WILL BE
USED AS A GUIDE.
THE FOLLOWING FIGURES WERE SUBMITTED BY THE CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE FOR PAVING STREETS:
TO PUT 1" TYPE II ASPHALT ON A 20' ROAD, IT WOULD COST $120 FOR AN 80' LOT AND AN ADDI-
TIONAL $60 FOR 1/2" LEVELING. FOR 22' FRONTAGE IT WOULD BE $134.80 PLUS $67.80 AND FOR 24'
FRONTAGE $146 PLUS $72.00
A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE CORPORATION WiLL BE AT CITY HALL ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER
ON WEDNESDAY EVENING, NOVEMBER
MAYOR CRAGG ATTENDED THE COUNTY _pNESDAY AND WAS ADVISED THAT TWO
MEN WILL BE HIRED BY THE COUNTY AND WILL BE~IADE ~AILABLE TO THE CITY TO ASSIST WITH THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. THERE WILL BE SOME EXPENSES INVOLVED, BUT VERY LITTLE AS THEIR SALARIES
WILL BE PAID BY A GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAM. ~ --~
