Vicars abment The minutes of the regular meeting of 0ctboer 28th, special mee~ing of No*ember 12th and 15th were read an approved. MOTION: made by Councilman Hardee that as Mr. Glasgow had f~iled to carry out the instructions of the Oity Oouncil in a motion past at a special meeting November 15th in which he was charged of injuring public property in said City by closing ditch cut on Second Street that legal proceedings be started; which was seconded by Councilman Park and carried. CHairman Martin read a letter from the American Telephone and Tel Company regarding damage to the pavement in the City. They stated their Section lineman would arrange with the City officials to have pavements placed in a satisfactory condition. Mr. Amos appeared before the City Council with an estimate not to exceed $100.00 for the repairing of the damge done by the American Telephone And Telegraph Company to the pavement along Riverside Drive. Councilman Park moved that Mr. Amos's proposition be accepted which was seconded by Councilman Hardee and carried. Councilman I~ark introduced the following resolution which was seconded by Counci lean Hardee: RESOLUTION 87. Whereas, a general election will be held in the City of Sebastian, Florida, on December 9th 1929 for the purpose of electing the following offices to Wit: Two members of the City Council and a Mayor of said city for the ensuing two years. Whereas it is the duty of the City Oouncil to appoint three inspectors and a Clerk to conduct said election, therefore be it Resolved, ~$at Mrs. F~elds, Mr. & I~..!rs. Ernest Foster and M~rtis Martin be appointed inspedtors to conduct said election and that Myrtis Martin be appointed Clerk of said election, and be it further Resolved? that the City Clerk furnish the Inspectors end Clerk of said ~lection with a list of the persons qualified under the provisions of the City Charter of said City of Sebastian, Florida to vote and be it further RESOLVED, that the City Clerk have printed at least 100 ballots for each fifty persons qualified to vote at said election. The vote being called upon said resolution the following votes were cast for its adopt ion~ Ayes: CounCilmen Hicks, Hardee, Martin, Park. Nayes: None. Mr. Winney agent for the Florida Power and Light Company was present and adTi~d that the November light bill would be $95.50. It was agreed by the Council that the taxes d~e the City of Sebastian by the Florida Power and Light Company for ~he year 1929 be applied on the street lights which the City is due the Company. Councilmen Park, me, ed that Council adSourn to meet again December 6th, 1929 at 7:30 oclock; which was seconded by ouncilmau ~arRee and carried.
