MAYOR FLOOD STATED THAT THE PURPOSE OF THIS BID OPENING IS FOR THE RENOVATION OF
THE OLD SEBASTIAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, FOR THE USE OF THE FUTURE CITY HALL COMPLEX.
THE CITY CLERK READ THE NOTICE OF BID AS IT APPEARED IN THE VERO BEACH PRESS
JOURNAL, NOVEMBER 18 AND 21, 1982, FOR THE ELECTRICAL, AIR CONDITIONING, SUSPENDED
CEILING AND PLUMBING IMPROVEMENTS IN THE SEBASTIAN SCHOOL HOUSE BUILDING FOR THE
USE OF THE SEBASTIAN CITY HALL.

~HE CITY CLERK READ THE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS IT APPEARED IN THE VERO BEACH
PRESS JOURNAL, NOVEMBER 21 AND 28, 1982, TO CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE
CREATING SECTION 26-23 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES REGULATING PARKING ON MAIN STREET
CREATING SECTION 26-24; ESTABLISHING PENALTIES AND DUTIES OF ENFORCEMENT ADOPTING
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
ATTORNEY KILBRIDE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY AN ORDINANCE CREATING SECTION 26-23 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES REGULATIN~ PARKING ON MAIN STREET, CREATING SECTION 26-24,
ESTABLISHING PENALTIES AND DUTIES OF ENFORCEMENT, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE,
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
ATTORNEY KILBRIDE STATED THAT THERE WILL BE A "NO PARKING ZONE" ON THE NORTH SIDE
OF MAIN STREET, BEGINNING AT LOUISIANA AVENUE UP TO THE OLD SEBASTIAN ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL AND FROM THE OLD SEBASTIAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WEST, "NO PARKING" WILL BE
PERMITTED ON EITHER SIDE OF MAIN STREET, UP TO EASY STREET. HE ALSO STATED THAT
PARALLEL PARKING WOULD BE PERMITTED, ONLY IN THOSE SPACES PROPERLY MARKED.
THERE BEING NO FURTHER DISCUSSION, PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED: 7:32 P.M.
