HomeMy WebLinkAbout12061928 ADjoURNED R~GULAR MEETING Upon roll call the foll6wing were found to be present: Mayor Geo. T. Badger Councilmen W.A. Martin, President R. G. Hardee S. A. Park P. P. Lawson T. B. Hicks Mayor Geo. T. Badger addressed the Council and informed them of the resigination of Marshal L. E. Ingram. MOTTON: made by Councilman Hardee, seconded by Councilman Park that Clerk be instructed to pay Mr. Ingram for his time as Marshal. Motion carried. RESOLUTION 78. The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Hicks, Whereas, under the charter and ordinances of the City of Sebastian a general city election is to be held in said City on the 10th day of December 1928, for the purpose of electing three councilmen of said City for a term of two years each, and Whereas, petitions have been duly presented to the City Council of the City of Sebastian in accordance with Chapter No.26-B of the Ordinances of said City, signed by the requisite number of qualified electors therein requesting that the names of the following persons be placed on the ballot as candidtes for said office of Councilmen, to-wit: R. G. Hardee, W. A. Martin, S~.A. Park, B. N. Brown, Floyd Cooper, Chas. W. Sembler and E. W. Vickers; Therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Sebastian that the above and foregoing names be placed on the official ballot to be voted at the election to'be held in said City on the 10th day of December, 1928, and the the following form of official ballot be used: OFFICIAL BALLOT No. OFFICIAL BALLOT No. GENERAL CITY ELECTION City of Sebastian, Florida December 10th, 1928. Make an.~(x) mark before the names of the Candidates for whom you wish to vote. FOR CITY COUNCILMEN Vote for three R. G. Hardee W. A. Martin S. A. Park B. N. Brown Floyd Cooper Chas. W. Sembler E. W. Vickers Continuation of Adjourned Regular Meeting December 6th, 1928. Be it further resolved that the City Clerk of said City be authorized and instructed to have Three Hundred Fifty ballots printed for use in said election in accordance with the provisions of this resolution. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Lawson and being put to a vote was adopted as follows: Ayes: Counnilmen Martin, Hardee, Park, Lawson and Hicks. ~ay~: None.
