Resolution Be it resolved that the budget of expenditures and disbur~e~e~ts of the City of Sebastian, Florida for the Fiscal year of 19~2-1943, be and the same is hereby fix.sd ~As follows: FOR THE GENE~MAL FIJND OF SAID CITY(E~NDITURES) · ~x General oper~'t lng ~:xp~ns~ s $2700.00 FOR THE GENERAL ~D OF SAID CITY (RMCEIPTS) 1942 tax collections Occupational License Tax Receipts Delinquent Taxes and Miscellaneous ~ollections Total ~2000.00 400.00 ~00.00 $2700.00 FOR INTER~{ST AND ~BIN~CiNG FUND PURPOSES (Ri~CE!PTS) 1942 Tax Collections $5460.00 Be it further resloved 'that: the City Council of the 0ity of Sebastian here- with determines that the aRount to bo raised for all municipal purposes for the fiscal year 1942-1943 by,taxation for the yoar 1942, is the sum of $2700.00 for general fund purposes and $5460.00 for interest and sinEing fund purposew to be used exclusively for City of Sebastian. Refunding Bonds, issue of 1939, d dated July l, 1939, that ordinance be prepared providing a tax levy for such purposes mw~x~ in the amount of l0 mills for general fund purposes and 2§ mills for lnterta~ and sinking purposes. Mr. Shaw offered tax ordinance for the year 1942 and moved that it be read for the first time in full. Motion seconded and carried. He moved that it be read the second time by title only. Motion seconded an~ carried. He moved that it be read the third time by title only and by roll call it was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Middleton, Shaw and Smith. Nays: None. Mr. Shaw interduced a resolution to make Mr. E. W. Vickers mayor and moved its adoption. Motion seconded and carried. Mr. Smith introduced a resolution naming R. E. Turllngton councilman and moved its adoption. Motion seconded and carried. Motio;~ to adjourn prevailed. Oat1 Meeting Dec~mbe~' 9, 1942 Meeting was called to order with the follow.lng members present: M,~yor Vlekers, Councilmen Middleton, Smith Shaw and Turlington. The Mayor read the call. Minu~es of previous meetings read and adopted. ~r. Shaw introduced the follow- ing resolu1~ion and moved its adoption: RE$OLUT I ON WHEREAS, as provided by the Charter and Ordinances of the City of Sebastian, Florida, a general election will 'be held in said City on December 14, 1942, for the purpose eT electing three members of the City Council to serve for the two years ensuing next hereafter; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Clerk of said City is kmxm~ herewith authorized and instructed to cause to be prePared the necessary ballots for the holding of such election and to have printed thereon the names of all persons who shall be nomin- ated as candidates for said offices by petition filed w~.th said Clerk not later than Wednesday, Decomb~-~r lC, ~942, and that said City Clerk shall do all and any acts necessary to the carrying out of such election. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED~that the City Hall in the place of business of F. G. Ham- rick in the City of Sebastian, Florida, is herewith designated as the polling place for the holding of such election and that the polls for such election shall be ope~'~ on the day thereof fror~ the hou9 ef 8:00 o'clock A. Adjourned Call Meeting lleeember 14., 1942 Meeting was called to order with the follow ng members present: Mayor rickets, Councilmen Smith, Shaw and Turllngton. The council proceeded to canvass the re- turns of the electi, on and found that Mr. 2. R. Middleton, Mr. A~ehte Smith and Mr. H. ~. Tillis had been elected. Thereupon Councilman Shaw introduced a resolution naming hhem as councilmen for the ensuing two years and~:moved its a~eption. Motion seconded and carried. Mr. Smith moved that ~r. Middleton b$ President for the ensuing ,wm yearm. Motion seconded and carried. Mr. Turling- ton moved that Mr. Shaw be Vice-President of the Oity Council for the ensuing year. Mr. Turlington moved that Mr. Charles A. Mitchell be City attorney for the ensuing year. Motion seconded and carried. Mr. Turlington that F. G. HammOck be Clerk for the ensuing two years, with hours not to conflict with his other duties. Motion seconded and carried. Mr. Turlington moved to adjourn. ~otion seconded and carried.
