Hicks Lenora K. Park James T. Vocelle The minutes of the pre~ious meeting were read and approved. The returns of the general City Election held December 10th, 1928, in the City of Sebastian, Florida signed by the Clerk and a majority of thc inspectors of said election, were received by the City Council and fiSed by the City Clerk. The City Council proceeded to canvass the returns and the result of said election, and thereupon Councilman Hicks introduced the following resolution: Whereas, it appers from the returns of the general City Election held in the City of Sebastian, Florida on December 10th, 1928, duly certified in duplicate by the Clerk and a majority of the inspectors of said election, and delivered by such Clerk and inspectors to the M~yor and City Clerk, and by them transmitted to the City Council, that the votes cast at said election were as follows, to-wit: FOR CITY COUNCIL~IAN: R. G. Hardee received 84 votes W. A. Martin received 82 votes S. A. !~ark received 52 votes B. N. ~rown recieved 24 votes Floyd Gooper received 34 votes Chas. W. Sembler received 25 votes E. W. Vickers received 40 votes and Whereas, the City Council has canvassed the returns and the result as shown by the Certificate of the Clerk and Inspectors of the election aforesaid and found the same correct: Therefore, be it resolved that R. G. Hardee, W.' A. Martin and S. A. Park having received the highest number of votes cast at said election, be, and they are here'by declared to have been duly elected as members of the City Council of the City of Sebastian, Florida, for tho ensuing years. Those voting for the passage of the above resolution were: Councilmen Hardee, Martin, Park, Lawson, Hicks. Those voting against the above resolution were: None. Thereupon the resolution was declared adopted. Oaths of officer were executed by M. M. Miller, Justice of Peace, R. G. Hardee, W. A. Martin and S. A. Park thereupon being duly qualified to hold their respective offices for two years. MOTION: made by Councilman Hicks, seconded by Councilman Lawson that W. A. Martin be president of the City Council. Motion carried. MOTION: made by CounciLman Hicks, seconded by Councilman Park, that P. P. Lawson be president Pro tern. Motion carried. MOTION: made by Councilman Hardee, seconded by Councilman Park, that City of Sebastian retain James T. Vocelle as attorney for the ensuing year. Same agreement as of the past year. Motion carried. The Nayor addressed the Council and expres§ed himself as being very glad of the re~election; also thanked thc Council for their past two years of efficient service. NOTION: made by Councilman Hicks, seconded by Councilman Lawson, that Council adjourn. ~otion carried.
