Let ch- The following Resolution w:~s introduced by Councilman Hardee; WHERE~S, The inspectors :~nU clerk of the ~eneral City election held'in the City of 2ebaBti. an~ Florida, o~ .December 10, 1945~ ~ave made return of the results of s.~d election in duplicate to the City Council of s'.~id City as provided by l~aw;~and WHERE~, This City Cou~cil bas canvassed the s~id return and h:'~ determined the results of said election to 'be as follows: For ~.'layor: L. ~1. Shafor received 109 votes. Frank C. Vickers received 26 votes. For It!ember of the City 0ouncil(two to se elected); Harry Bohannon received 78 votes. R. B. Letchworth received 68 votes. C. E. Taylor received 34 'R. E. Turlingtonrecoived votes. 80 votes Therefore, B~',~ IT ~/~[]0LV~D That it is herewith determined that L. M. Shafor was elected ¥~ayor of said City and R. ~. T~rJ, in~l~on and Harry Bohannon were elected.as members of the City Council of said City,all to serve for a term of two ye.ars next ensuing or until their respective successors shall be elected :~nd eualified. On being seconded t~y Councilman Cembler w~s adopted unamimously. In tbs -=bsence of Mayor Vickers the oath of office was administered by Pres. Middleton. Capt. Hardee a retiring member of the Cou~cil congr'xtulated the new ~..[ayor a~:.d Councilmen, and wished them success in their undertaking. ~dayor Sh~for, Councilmen Bohannon and Turlington expressed their than. ks to their friends for their support and assured them of their desire to serve tbs City's interest.
