ON WHEREAS, as provided by the Charter and Ordinances of the City of Sebastian, Florida, a general election will 'be held in said City on December 14, 1942, for the purpose cT electing three members oF the City Council to serve for the two years ensuing next hereafter; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Clerk of said City is ka~ak~ herewith authorized and instructed to ca~.~se to be prepared the necessary ballots for the holding of such election and to have printed thereon the names of all persons who shall be nomin- ated as candidates for said offices by petition filed with said 01erk not later than Wednesday, December 10, ~942, and that said City Clerk shall do all and any acts necessary to the carrying out of such election. BE IT FURTHER RES0LVgDOthat the City Hall in the place of business of F. G. Ham- rick in the City of Sebastian, Florida, is herewith designated as the polling place for the holding of such election and that the polls for such election shall be open on the day thereof from the hou9 of 8:00 o'clock A. M. until sundown of said day. BE IT FU~T~-~]~f,~ ¥~E~;OLVSl'~ that A. Foster, W.T. Atchley and G. A. Braddock be and the same are ~ppolnted ~s inspectors and P. P. Lawson as Clerk in said election to conduct the same and the ~1ty Clerk is herewith directed to notify said election officials of their appointment. Motion seconded and carried. Adjourned Call Meeting December lA, 1942 Meeting was called to order with the follow ng members present: Mayor Vickers, Councilmen ~mith, Shaw and Turlington. The council proceeded to canvass the re- turns of the election and found that Mr. 2. R. Mlddleton, Mr. A~ehie Smith and Mr. H. ]~. Tlllis had been elected. Thereupon Councilman Shaw introduced a resolution naming h~em as councilmen for the ensuing two years and:moved its aeteption. Motion seconded and carried. Mr. Smith moved that ~r. Middleton bt President for the ensuing ~m yearm. Motion seconded and carried. Mr. Turling- ton moved that Mr. Shaw be Vice-President of the (;lty Council for the ensuing year. Mr. Turlington moved that Mr. Charles A. Mitchell be City attorney for the ensuing year. Motion seconded and carried. Mr. Turlington that F. G. HammOck be Clerk for the ensuing two years~ with hours not to conflict with his other duties. Motion seconded and carried. Mr. Turlington moved to adjourn. Motion seconded and carried.
